Ultrasmall High‐Entropy Materials: Nanoscale Effects, Synthesis, and Mechanistic Insights
This review article focuses on sub‐10 nm high‐entropy materials that combine nanoscale design with complex compositions for next‐generation applications. ABSTRACT Ultrasmall high‐entropy nanomaterials (USHENMs, <10 nm) merge multicomponent chemistry with size‐dependent effects, forming a distinct class of materials with unprecedented properties.

A Dual‐Functional Electrolyte Additive for Highly Reversible Zinc‐Ion Batteries
This study introduces tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) as a dual‐function additive for aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. TBAB disrupts the hydrogen‐bond network of water while TBA+ adsorbs on Zn to improve interfacial wettability and regulate Zn2+ flux, resulting in suppressed dendrite growth and parasitic reactions. This synergy extended the lifespan of Zn|

Modeling of the effect of size on flocculent dust explosions
The effect of size on the severity of explosions involving flocculent materials has been simulated by means of a model previously developed for spherical particles and here extended to the cylindrical geometry of flock.

Consequences of Heterogeneous Explosions and Fires
Heterogeneous explosions may occur in confined systems, thus leading to confined explosions. In the present chapter, mechanical and chemical explosions in confined and unconfined systems are considered, focusing the attention on their consequences by ...

Pickering‐Engineered Microparticles for Magnetically Guided Motion and Light‐Triggered Catalysis
Magnetically responsive wax microparticles stabilized by hematite cubes through the Pickering emulsification strategy are developed, showing controlled size, motion, and light‐activated catalytic activity. Annealing under a magnetic field enhances their mobility and steering.

Combining experimental volcanology, petrology and geophysical monitoring techniques [PDF]
In general, an understanding of the complex processes acting before and during volcanic eruptions is approached from various different sides, e.g. laboratory experiments on fragmentation and/or bubble burst eruption mechanisms, petrological analysis of ...

A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for
