The Impact of Tilburg Frailty on Poststroke Fatigue in First‐Ever Stroke Patients: A Cross‐Sectional Study With Unified Measurement Tools and Improved Statistics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Poststroke fatigue (PSF) and frailty share substantial overlap in their manifestations, yet previous research has yielded conflicting results due to the use of heterogeneous frailty assessment tools. Objective To evaluate the independent impact of frailty on PSF using a unified measurement system (Tilburg Frailty Indicator, TFI ...

Longitudinal Relationship Between Pain and Depression in People With Inflammatory Arthritis: A Narrative Review

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
As many patients with inflammatory arthritis (IA) have chronic pain, understanding how to best assess and manage pain in IA is a priority. Comorbid depression is prevalent in adults with IA, affecting 15% to 39% of people. Although pain and depression are thought to be associated in IA, this concept is largely based on cross‐sectional data.

Generalized Exponents and Forms [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Algebraic Combinatorics, 2005
Let \(V=\mathbb{C}^l\) or \(\mathbb{R}^l\) be a complex or real vector space. A reflection is an element of \(\text{GL}(V)\) whose fixed point set is a hyperplane in \(V\). Let \(G\) be a reflection group, i.e., a finite subgroup of \(\text{GL}(V)\) generated by reflections. We assume all \(G\)-modules are \(\mathbb{C} G\)-modules. For any \(G\)-module

Proportion of Acceptable Symptom State Nearly Tripled With Improvements in Patient‐Reported Outcomes for All Symptom State Subgroups: A Registry Study of More Than 15,000 Patients With Osteoarthritis in Digital Education and Exercise Therapy

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study investigated trajectories of patient acceptable symptom state (PASS) among participants of digital education and exercise therapy for knee and hip osteoarthritis. Methods A longitudinal observational study among individuals aged at least 40 years who participated in the digital program.

On characteristic exponents in turbulence [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 1984
Ruelle has found upper bounds to the magnitude and to the number of non- negative characteristic exponents for the Navier-Stokes flow of an impompressible fluid in a domain \(\Omega\). The latter is particularly important because it yields an upper bound to the Hausdorff dimension of attracting sets.

Where, How, and How Much? A Multicenter Cohort Study of the Relationship Across Lupus Decision‐Aid Modality, Place of Administration, Interruption and Viewing Completeness, and Patient‐Reported Outcomes

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We assessed whether shared decision‐making (SDM) and patient acceptability, feasibility, and overall satisfaction with a computerized patient decision aid (PtDA) for patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) differs by PtDA setting, modality, and the viewing experience. Methods Patients with SLE were invited to view a self‐administered

Superfluid-insulator transition of the Josephson junction array model with commensurate frustration

open access: yes, 2002
We have studied the rationally frustrated Josephson-junction array model in the square lattice through Monte Carlo simulations of $(2+1)$D XY-model. For frustration $f=1/4$, the model at zero temperature shows a continuous superfluid-insulator transition.

Lived and care experiences of chronic musculoskeletal shoulder pain in Australian adults: A qualitative study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objectives Australian evidence on lived and care experiences of chronic musculoskeletal shoulder pain (CMSP), irrespective of disorder classification or disease, is limited. However, such evidence is important for person‐centred care and informing local service pathways and care guidelines or standards.
