Computational solutions of conformable space-time derivatives dynamical wave equations: Analytical mathematical techniques

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2020
In this article, the instigator sets up the profuse traveling wave solutions four types of fractional nonlinear equations in the sense of conformable derivatives by using the novel form of modified mathematical technique.

Methods of smoothing applied to differences in star positions in observational catalogues [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Astronomical Journal, 1998
Three different methods, Whittaker - Robinson - Vondrak (WRV), cubic spline (SPL) and Expansion of the Elementary Trigonometric and Exponential Functions (ETE), are applied to differences in star positions of five observational catalogues in ...

Analytic Evaluation of Four-Particle Integrals with Complex Parameters

open access: yes, 2002
The method for analytic evaluation of four-particle integrals, proposed by Fromm and Hill, is generalized to include complex exponential parameters. An original procedure of numerical branch tracking for multiple valued functions is developed.

Nonlinear Vibration Characteristic Analysis of Electric Vehicle–Road Coupling System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In‐wheel motor drive is the developing direction of automobile electrification and intelligence. However, the increased unsprung mass in in‐wheel motor‐driven electric vehicles (IWMEVs) leads to higher dynamic tire loads, thereby intensifying vehicle–road coupling interactions. To address this problem, an 11‐degree‐of‐freedom nonlinear dynamic

Interest Rate Pegs and the Reversal Puzzle: On the Role of Anticipation

open access: yesJournal of Money, Credit and Banking, EarlyView.
Abstract We revisit the reversal puzzle: a counterintuitive contraction of inflation in response to an interest rate peg. We show that its occurrence is intimately related to the degree of agents' anticipation. If agents perfectly anticipate the peg, reversals occur depending on the duration of the peg.

The Accuracy Smoothness Dilemma in Prediction: A Novel Multivariate M‐SSA Forecast Approach

open access: yesJournal of Time Series Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Forecasting presents a complex estimation challenge, as it involves balancing multiple, often conflicting, priorities and objectives. Conventional forecast optimization methods typically emphasize a single metric, such as minimizing the mean squared error (MSE), which may neglect other crucial aspects of predictive performance. To address this

Function Art: Linking Mathematics, Technology, and Visual Arts

open access: yesSchool Science and Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigated students' understanding of mathematical functions and strategies to create artwork using GeoGebra. It was framed by the principles of constructionism and examined how students use functions in creating artworks. We gathered data from students' artworks using the Algebra view and the Construction Protocol in the GeoGebra

Some extremal functions in Fourier analysis, III

open access: yes, 2008
We obtain the best approximation in $L^1(\R)$, by entire functions of exponential type, for a class of even functions that includes $e^{-\lambda|x|}$, where $\lambda >0$, $\log |x|$ and $|x|^{\alpha}$, where $-1 < \alpha < 1$.
