On the convergence of infinite exponentials [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1962
This sequence is formally represented by E(al, a2, a3, ; z), and is called an infinite exponential. If all the ai=a, as is the case in this paper, the infinite exponential is represented by E(a; z). This nomenclature follows Barrow [1]. Another symbolism has been used by Thron [9]. It is necessary to specify the values log a.

Experimental Characterization and Constitutive Modeling of the Effect of Prior Inelastic Strain on the Viscoplastic Behavior of AD730 at 700 °C

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

Convergence of Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with delays and time-varying coefficients

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2008
In this paper presents sufficient conditions for all solutions of the Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with delays and time-varying coefficients to converge exponentially to zero.

Validity and error analysis of calculating matrix exponential function and vector product

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering
In this study, an efficient calculation method of matrix exponential function and vector product is proposed to reduce the calculation error. This method is based on the flexible exponential integral scheme; using B-series theory and two-color tree ...

Convergence analysis of semi-exponential Post-Widder operators

open access: yesMiskolc Mathematical Notes
In the present article, we provide a recurrence relation for the semi-exponential Post-Widder operators (1.1) and estimate the moments for these operators.

Exponentially Convergent Multiscale Finite Element Method

open access: yesCommunications on Applied Mathematics and Computation, 2023
We provide a concise review of the exponentially convergent multiscale finite element method (ExpMsFEM) for efficient model reduction of PDEs in heterogeneous media without scale separation and in high-frequency wave propagation. ExpMsFEM is built on the non-overlapped domain decomposition in the classical MsFEM while enriching the approximation space ...

Designing Polymer Nanocomposites for X‐Ray Shielding: Mechanisms, Architectures, and Scalable Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights advances in lightweight, lead‐free polymer nanocomposites for diagnostic X‐ray shielding. By linking filler chemistry, dispersion, architecture, and photon interaction mechanisms, it establishes structure–performance relationships guiding material design.

On exponential convergence of Gegenbauer interpolation and spectral differentiation [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics of Computation, 2012
This paper is devoted to a rigorous analysis of exponential convergence of polynomial interpolation and spectral differentiation based on the Gegenbauer-Gauss and Gegenbauer-Gauss-Lobatto points, when the underlying function is analytic on and within an ellipse. Sharp error estimates in the maximum norm are derived.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Exploring Curvature Effects in Direct‐Written 3D Curved Hollow Magnetic Nanoshells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fabricated by a hybrid FEBID/CVD method, 3D PtC/Co3Fe core–shell heterostructures with engineered curvature and shell thickness exhibit complex reversal modes with axially symmetric N'eel‐type domain walls. XMCD‐PEEM combined with full‐scale micromagnetic simulations reveal how curvature and thickness govern the domain wall energy landscape and shape ...
