Exponential convexity of Petrović and related functional [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2011
We consider functionals due to the difference in Petrović and related inequalities and prove the log-convexity and exponential convexity of these functionals by using different families of functions. We construct positive semi-definite matrices generated by these functionals and give some related results. At the end, we give some examples.

Exponentially convex univalent functions

Complex Variables, Theory and Application: An International Journal, 1997
In this article we introduce the tamily e(α), α ∈ C. of α-exponentially convex functions f as normalized univalent functions in the unit disk D such that e αf is convex univalent. Out study was suggested by a formal and concrete relationship between e(α) and the class of convex functions of bounded type, defined by Professor A. W. Goodman.

Exponential Convexity Induced by Steffensen’s Inequality and Positive Measures

open access: yesResults in Mathematics, 2018
Using measure theoretic generalization of Steffensen’s inequality we produce linear functionals and then, through their action on families of already known exponentially convex functions, we construct new examples of exponential convexity.

Exponential TEM horn with a convex triangular arc

2013 Africon, 2013
TEM ahorn antennas are well known for their ultra-wideband capabilities and are widely used. However, axial symmetry of the radiation pattern over such a wide frequency band is difficult to achieve. In this paper, a modification is proposed to the exponential TEM horn in the form of a convex triangular arc at the mouth of the antenna.

Exponential Convexity Method

Journal of convex analysis, 2013
In this paper generalized Stolarsky and related means are recognized as an application of particulary defined linear functional on family of n-convex function. However, this approach leads to a more general method of constructing exponentially convex functions and means of Cauchy type.

Relative Strongly Exponentially Convex Functions

2020
In this paper, we define and consider some new concepts of the strongly exponentially convex functions involving an arbitrary negative bifunction. Some properties of these strongly exponentially convex functions are investigated under suitable conditions.

Properties of Exponentially m-Convex Functions

2020
In this paper, we define and introduce some new concepts of the exponentially m-convex functions involving a fixed constant m ∈ (0, 1]. We investigate several properties of the exponentially m-convex functions and discuss their relations with convex functions. Optimality conditions are characterized by a class of variational inequalities.

Exponentially fast distributed coordination for nonsmooth convex optimization

2016 IEEE 55th Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2016
This paper considers networks of agents that seek to cooperatively solve a general class of nonsmooth convex optimization problems with an inherent distributed structure. We characterize the asymptotic convergence properties of distributed continuous-time coordination algorithms whose design relies on the saddle-point dynamics associated with an ...
