Non-exponential decay of a giant artificial atom
Nature Physics, 2018In quantum optics, light–matter interaction has conventionally been studied using small atoms interacting with electromagnetic fields with wavelength several orders of magnitude larger than the atomic dimensions1,2.

Applicable Analysis, 2019
This paper describes a well-posedness and exponential decay of solutions for a coupled Lamé system with viscoelastic term and logarithmic source terms, where an asymptotic stability result of global solution is obtained.

Exponential decay for elastic systems with structural damping and infinite delay
Applicable Analysis, 2018In this paper, we consider nonlinear evolution equations of second order in Banach spaces involving unbounded delay, which can model an elastic system with structural damping involving infinite delays.

Exponential tooth decay curve.
Community dental health, 2019A review of the distribution of d₃mft scores for Wales was undertaken to inform decisions on future reporting of decay experience. Visual examination of data from one survey suggested that caries in Wales is distributed along an exponential decay curve.Weighted d₃mft data from 2007/8, 2011/12 and 2014/15 was utilised.

Fourier-Laplace transforms decaying exponentially
Mathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, 1988Let ƒ(x) be a C-valued function which is integrable with respect to a positive measure m on the Borel σ-field of R = (– ∞, ∞). We shall give necessary and sufficient conditions under which the following Fourier-Laplace transform f(λ) of ƒ(x) decays exponentially as λ → ∞:where θ is a constant with –π/2 ≤ θ ≤ π/2.
