Controlling harmful microorganisms, such as Listeria monocytogenes, can require reliable inactivation steps, including those providing conditions (e.g., using high salt content) in which the pathogen could be progressively inactivated.

EXPONENTIAL DISPERSION MODELS AND THE GAUSS‐NEWTON ALGORITHM [PDF]
SummaryIt is known that the Fisher scoring iteration for generalized linear models has the same form as the Gauss‐Newton algorithm for normal regression. This note shows that exponential dispersion models are the most general families to preserve this form for the scoring iteration. Therefore exponential dispersion models are the most general extension

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Mixture of Akash Distributions: Estimation, Simulation and Application
In this paper, we propose a two-component mixture of Akash model (TC-MAM). The behavior of TC-MAM distribution has been presented graphically. Moment-based measures, including skewness, index of dispersion, kurtosis, and coefficient of variation, have ...

Dispersive Optical Potential Study for Proton-Nucleus Scattering Using Dispersion Relations [PDF]
: Usually in nucleon-nucleon reactions, optical potential is used to study the nuclear structures resulting from these reactions. As this potential during the reaction is subject to dispersion by the nuclei surface as well as the total size of the ...

Objective This study aims to develop hip morphology‐based radiographic hip osteoarthritis (RHOA) risk prediction models and investigates the added predictive value of hip morphology measurements and the generalizability to different populations. Methods We combined data from nine prospective cohort studies participating in the Worldwide Collaboration ...
