Characterizations of Exponentiated Distributions
Various characterizations of the class of exponentiated distributions are presented. These characterizations are based on a simple relationship between two truncated moments and based on functions of the th n order statistic. The results are applied to certain well-known members of this class.

Two Weighted Distributions Generated by Exponential Distribution
In this paper, we propose new classes of weighted distributions by incorporating exponential distribution in Azzalini’s method. Resulting weighted models generated by exponential distribution are: the weighted gamma-exponential model and the weighted ...

Mixtures of Exponential Distributions
Arbitrary nonparametric mixtures of exponential and Weibull (fixed shape) distributions are considered as possible models for a lifetime distribution. A characterization of such distributions is given by the well-known characterization of Laplace transforms.

Towards an Explanation of the Exponential Distribution of Firm Growth Rates [PDF]
A robust feature of the corporate growth process is the exponential distribution of firm growth rates. This striking empirical regularity has been found to hold for a number of different datasets and at different levels of aggregation.
