Nonsmooth Multiobjective Fractional Programming with Local Lipschitz Exponential B-p,r-Invexity

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
We study nonsmooth multiobjective fractional programming problem containing local Lipschitz exponential B-p,r-invex functions with respect to η and b. We introduce a new concept of nonconvex functions, called exponential B-p,r-invex functions.

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

Sex‐Stratified Association of Regional Dopamine Transporter Binding With Disease Progression in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To clarify the clinical relevance of dopamine transporter single‐photon emission computed tomography (DAT‐SPECT) abnormalities in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), with a prespecified focus on sex‐stratified associations with disease progression and short‐term prognosis.

Loss functions, utility functions and Bayesian sample size determination.

open access: yes, 2011
PhDThis thesis consists of two parts. The purpose of the first part of the research is to obtain Bayesian sample size determination (SSD) using loss or utility function with a linear cost function. A number of researchers have studied the Bayesian SSD

Physician‐Scientist Pipeline for Pediatric Rheumatology: The Current Landscape and Future Perspectives

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Over the past 50 years, the science of pediatric rheumatology has grown exponentially due to an expansion in the understanding of complex rheumatic conditions and a surge in novel targeted therapeutics. Physician‐scientists in the field of pediatric rheumatology have played major roles in these advancements that have improved the care of children ...

The second coefficient of a function with all derivatives univalent

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1982
We consider the second coefficient of a class of functions, univalent and normalized, and with all derivatives univalent in the unit disk D, and improve on a known result. It is also shown that this bound is in a sense best possible.

Exponential type convexity and some related inequalities

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2020
In this manuscript, we give and study the concept of exponential type convex functions and some of their algebraic properties. We prove two Hermite–Hadamard (H-H) type integral inequalities for the newly introduced class of functions. We also obtain some

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

(Oscillating) non-exponential decays of unstable states

open access: yes, 2012
We discuss deviations from the exponential decay law which occur when going beyond the BreitWigner distribution for an unstable state. In particular, we concentrate on an oscillating behavior, remisiscent of the Rabi-oscillations, in the short-time ...
