Exponential stability in linear viscoelasticity [PDF]
We address the study of the asymptotic behavior of solutions to an abstract integrodifferential equation modeling linear viscoelasticity. Framing the equation in the past history setting, we analyze the exponential stability of the related semigroup S ( t ) S(t) with dependence on the convolution kernel ...

Global exponential stabilization of freeway models [PDF]
SummaryThis work is devoted to the construction of feedback laws, which guarantee the robust global exponential stability of the uncongested equilibrium point for general discrete‐time freeway models. The feedback construction is based on a control Lyapunov function approach and exploits certain important properties of freeway models.

Polynomial stability of evolution operators in Banach spaces [PDF]
The paper considers three concepts of polynomial stability for linear evolution operators which are defined in a general Banach space and whose norms can increase not faster than exponentially.

Super-stability and stability of the exponential equations [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce the concepts of super-stability, stability, δ -Ger-stability of the exponential equation of an operator from a normed space into a normed algebra. By using some results due to J. Baker and R. Ger, we obtain some new conclusions about these stabilities. Mathematics subject classification (2010): Primary 39B52, secondary 39B82,

Sub-exponential stability for the beam equation
We consider a one-parameter family of beam equations with Hamiltonian non-linearity in one space dimension under periodic boundary conditions. In a unified functional framework we study the long time evolution of initial data in two categories of differentiability: (i) a subspace of Sobolev regularity, (ii) a subspace of infinitely many differentiable ...
