Asymptotical stability analysis of conformable fractional systems

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2020
In this paper, we analyses the asymptotical stability of the system in the form ${T_\alpha }y(\tau ){ = A}y(\tau ) + f(\tau ,y(\tau )) $ with the initial value $y({\tau _0}) = {y_0} $.

Dynamics of the Exponential Population Growth System with Mixed Fractional Brownian Motion

open access: yesComplexity, 2021
This paper examines the dynamics of the exponential population growth system with mixed fractional Brownian motion. First, we establish some useful lemmas that provide powerful tools for studying the stochastic differential equations with mixed ...

Making tau amyloid models in vitro: a crucial and underestimated challenge

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review highlights the challenges of producing in vitro amyloid assemblies of the tau protein. We review how accurately the existing protocols mimic tau deposits found in the brain of patients affected with tauopathies. We discuss the important properties that should be considered when forming amyloids and the benchmarks that should be used to ...

A stepwise emergence of evolution in the RNA world

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
How did biological evolution emerge from chemical reactions? This perspective proposes a gradual scenario of self‐organization among RNA molecules, where catalytic feedback on random mixtures plays the central role. Short oligomers cross‐ligate, and self‐assembly enables heritable variations. An event of template‐externalization marks the transition to

Exponential and sub-exponential stability times for the NLS on the circle

open access: yesRendiconti Lincei, Matematica e Applicazioni, 2019
In this note we study stability times for a family of parameter dependent nonlinear Schrödinger equations on the circle, close to the origin. Imposing a suitable Diophantine condition (first introduced by Bourgain), we state a rather flexible Birkho¤ Normal Form theorem, which implies, e.g., exponential and sub-exponential time estimates in the Sobolev

In vivo evidence for glycyl radical insertion into a catalytically inactive variant of pyruvate formate‐lyase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Dimeric pyruvate formate‐lyase cleaves pyruvate using a radical‐based mechanism. G734 serves as a radical storage location, and the radical is transferred to the catalytic C419 residue. Mutation of the C418‐C419 pair causes loss of enzyme activity, but does not impede radical introduction onto G734. Therefore, cis‐ but not trans‐radical transfer occurs

Exponential stability analysis for nonlinear time-varying perturbed systems on time scales

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2023
This paper is concerned with the stability of nonlinear time-varying perturbed system on time scales under the assumption that the corresponding linear time-varying nominal system is uniformly exponentially stable.

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Landscape of BRAF transcript variants in human cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We investigate the annotation of BRAF variants, focusing on protein‐coding BRAF‐220 (formerly BRAF‐reference) and BRAF‐204 (BRAF‐X1). The IsoWorm pipeline allows us to quantify these variants in human cancer, starting from RNA‐sequencing data. BRAF‐204 is more abundant than BRAF‐220 and impacts patient survival.

New Conditions for the Exponential Stability of Pseudolinear Difference Equations in Banach Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2016
We study the local exponential stability of evolution difference systems with slowly varying coefficients and nonlinear perturbations. We establish the robustness of the exponential stability in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces, in the sense that the ...
