Subset sum pseudorandom numbers: fast generation and distribution
We show how to accelerate the subset sum pseudorandom number generator with arbitrary weights. Some special choices of weights speed up the naive usage of this generator without losing the property of uniform distribution which has recently been ...

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

Let f be a polinomial with coefficients in a finite field F. Let $Ψ: F \to C^{\ast}$ be a non-trivial additive character. In this paper we give bounds for the exponential sums $\sum_{x\in F^n} Ψ(Tr_{F/F_p} (f(x)))$ in some cases where the highest degree form of f defines a singular projective hypersurface X (e.g.

On families of additive exponential sums
AbstractIn this paper we compute geometric monodromy groups of additive exponential sums over BbbAn. Our approach builds on work of N. Katz, and involves p-adic analysis of explicit sums and computation of the Galois group of an equation over a function field in characteristic 2.

A distinct semi‐confined inner‐tube chemical vapor deposition geometry enables reproducible, large‐area growth of phase‐pure 2D β′‐In2Se3 from InI + Se precursors. Engineering local vapor transport and optimizing precursor delivery and temperature–time conditions yield uniform continuous films.

This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

Generic A-family of exponential sums
In this paper we construct a generating polynomial over the rationals for the generic Newton polygon for the L function of exponential sums of the family of f = x^d+ a x^s parameterized by a, and prove some of its key properties. The generating polynomial encodes information of and determines the generic Newton polygon at each prime p when p is large ...

From Shear to Sound: Mechanics–Acoustics Mapping of TPMS Lattices
Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices are mapped across mechanical and acoustic performance, revealing that descriptors validated in compression fail under shear. First‐time comparison with trusses included. A transition from porous to resonance‐driven absorption emerges at 25% density.

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.
