A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Positive Interpolation Operators with Exponential-Type Weights

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
We consider positive operators on the real line with property of interpolation, and we show the weighted -convergence of the operators. We will construct an analogical operator of one which is studied by Knopfmacher (1986).

Entire bivariate functions of exponential type [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of Mathematical Sciences, 2015
In this paper we will analysis the concepts of bivariate entire complex valued functions of exponential type. To accomplish this goal, we begin with the presentation of a notion of bounded index for bivariate complex functions. Using this notion we present a series of sufficient conditions that ensure that exponential type is preserved.

Exponential inequalities under sub-linear expectations with applications to laws of the iterated logarithm

open access: yes, 2016
Kolmogorov's exponential inequalities are basic tools for studying the strong limit theorems such as the classical laws of the iterated logarithm for both independent and dependent random variables.

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

On Lojasiewicz-type inequalities for exponential polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1988
The authors consider Lojasiewicz inequalities for exponential polynomials in one or several real or complex variables. Such inequalities are lower bounds for the functions in terms of the distance from the zero set. Closely connected with this, in the case of functions of a single variable, are questions about the separation of the zeros from one ...

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Multivalence of bivariate functions of bounded index

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2015
This paper examines the relationship between the concept of bounded index and the radius of equivalence, respectively p-valence, of entire bivariate functions and their partial derivatives at arbitrary points in C^2.

Eigenvalue Problems for Exponential-Type Kernels

open access: yesComput. Methods Appl. Math., 2019
We study approximations of eigenvalue problems for integral operators associated with kernel functions of exponential type. We show convergence rate | λ k - λ k , h | ≤ C k ⁢ h 2 {\lvert\lambda_{k}-\lambda_{k,h}\rvert\leq C_{k}h^{2}} in the case of ...

The Brownian traveller on manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We study the influence of the intrinsic curvature on the large time behaviour of the heat equation in a tubular neighbourhood of an unbounded geodesic in a two-dimensional Riemannian manifold.
