The weighted Lindley exponential distribution and its related properties
Both the exponential and Lindley distributions can be used to model the lifetime of a system or process, as well as the distribution of waiting times.

The role of forward self-similar solutions in the Cauchy problem for semi-linear heat equations with exponential nonlinearity [PDF]
We consider the Cauchy problem for semi-linear heat equations with exponential nonlinearity. The main purpose of this paper is to prove the existence of solutions lying on the borderline between global existence and blow-up infinite time. The existence has been shown for semi-linear heat equations with power type nonlinearity.

Ca2+‐mediated response to DMSO was investigated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells expressing Ca2+‐dependent aequorin. Cell exposure to DMSO induced a cytosolic Ca2+ wave dependent on the integrity of the Cch1/Mid1 channel. Deletion of KCS1 or VIP1 genes encoding the phosphoinositol pyrophosphate (PP‐IP) synthases suppressed the DMSO‐induced Ca2 ...

On the topologies of the exponential [PDF]
Factorization algebras have been defined using three different topologies on the Ran space. We study these three different topologies on the exponential, which is the union of the Ran space and the empty configuration, and show that an exponential property is satisfied in each case. As a consequence we describe the weak homotopy type of the exponential

Information-theoretic measure of the hyperbolical exponential-type potential
: The approximate analytical solution of the 3-dimensional radial Schrodinger equation in the framework of the parametric Nikiforov–Uvarov method was obtained with a hyperbolical exponential-type potential.

Accounting for TLD response to CBCT protocols in external beam radiotherapy dose monitoring
Abstract Purpose LiF thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs) are commonly used in radiation therapy to verify the delivered dose. Examples include dose verification for complicated treatment setups or cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CIEDs). TLDs may be present for both the pre‐treatment imaging kilovoltage (kV) beam and the megavoltage (MV ...

Restricted analytic valued fields with partial exponentiation [PDF]
Non-archimedean fields with restricted analytic functions may not support a full exponential function, but they always have partial exponentials defined in convex subrings. On face of this, we study the first order theory of the class of non-archimedean ordered valued fields augmented by all restricted analytic functions and an exponential function ...

ABSTRACT Objective Quantitative markers of cortical excitability may help identify responders to anti‐seizure medications (ASMs). We studied the relationship between ASM load and two electroencephalography (EEG) markers of cortical excitability in people with refractory epilepsy. Methods We included individuals with refractory focal epilepsy undergoing

The spaces of exponential type vectors of complex degrees of positive operators
New classes of interpolation spaces of exponential type vectors of complex degrees of positive operators are defined. Properties of the approximation spaces generated by the considered interpolation spaces are investigated.
