Uniformly Ultimate Boundedness Control with Decentralized Event-Triggering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Event-triggered control is a method that the control input is updated only when a certain condition is satisfied (i.e., an event occurs). In this paper, event-triggered control over a sensor network is studied based on the notion of uniformly ultimate ...

Risk-Aware Stability, Ultimate Boundedness, and Positive Invariance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
This paper introduces the notions of stability, ultimate boundedness, and positive invariance for stochastic systems in the view of risk. More specifically, those notions are defined in terms of the worst-case Conditional Value-at-Risk (CVaR), which ...

Ultimate boundedness of some third order ordinary differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
summary:We prove the ultimate boundedness of solutions of some third order nonlinear ordinary differential equations using the Lyapunov method. The results obtained generalize earlier results of Ezeilo, Tejumola, Reissig, Tunç and others.

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Robust uniformly ultimate boundedness control for uncertain switched linear systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents uniformly ultimate boundedness (UUB) control design for switched linear systems with parametric uncertainties. Only the possible bound of the uncertainty is needed.

Entropy‐Driven Design of Low‐Melting‐Point Alloys via Compositionally Complex Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Conventional low‐melting‐point alloys (LMPAs) are limited by a narrow compositional space and inherent property trade‐offs. This review presents an entropy‐driven design strategy that overcomes these limitations, ushering in a new class of low‐melting‐point compositionally complex alloys (LMCCAs).

Dynamic event-triggered state estimation for discrete-time delayed switched neural networks with constrained bit rate

open access: yesSystems Science & Control Engineering
In this paper, a class of discrete-time delayed switched neural networks with dynamic event-triggered mechanism (DETM) and constrained bit rate is considered.

Gallium Microalloying in Bi–Sn Solders: Interfacial Phase Formation, Wettability, and Long‐Term Shear Reliability Under Isothermal Aging

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Gallium microalloying redirects interfacial reactions in low‐temperature Bi–Sn solders from Cu–Sn toward Cu–Ga intermetallic formation. The resulting Cu–Ga layer suppresses intermetallic growth during thermal aging, alters fracture pathways, and improves interfacial stability.

High‐Entropy Alloy Interlayers Toward Advanced Joining for High‐Performance Structural Applications: Current Progress and Emerging Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
HEA interlayers offer a versatile route for joining high‐performance structural materials. Their compositional and structural design regulates interfacial reactions, suppresses brittle IMCs, and improves metallurgical bonding. Sandwich interlayers further integrate defect healing with precipitation strengthening, enabling improved strength–ductility ...
