Sulfuric acid at workplaces--applicability of the new Indicative Occupational Exposure Limit Value (IOELV) to thoracic particles.

Journal of Environmental Monitoring, 2012
Until 2009, the limit values for airborne sulfuric acid in Europe were based on the inhalable particle fraction (e.g. MAK (Maximum allowed concentration at workplace) value 0.1 mg m(-3) as the inhalable fraction).

Olfactory mucosal lesions in F344 rats following inhalation exposure to pyridine at threshold limit value concentrations.

Fundamental and Applied Toxicology, 1994
Pyridine is a volatile solvent used as an intermediate in the production of insecticides, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, and dyes. Pyridine is also found in tobacco smoke.

Chloroethene. Documentation of proposed values of occupational exposure limits (OELs)

Podstawy i Metody Oceny Środowiska Pracy, 2018
Chloroethene (vinyl chloride) does not occur naturally in nature. It is obtained exclusively by chemical synthesis. It is a gas under normal pressure and temperature conditions. At 40-70 °C, it polymerizes to form polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It is a large-volume compound. Its annual global production exceeds 40 million t / year.

N-Methylformamide. Documentation of proposed values of occupational exposure limits (OELs)

Podstawy i Metody Oceny Środowiska Pracy, 2021
N-Methylformamide is a colorless liquid with an ammoniacal odor, used as a solvent and an intermediate for chemical reactions. There are no data on occupational exposure in Poland. N-Methylformamide is very well absorbed into the human body. The LD50 values for N-methylformamide administered to animals in various routes are similar (2600 ÷ 4000 mg/kg ...

Wood dust exposure during furniture manufacture--results from an Australian survey and considerations for threshold limit value development.

American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1991
A survey of time-weighted average (TWA) personal inhalable dust exposures for woodworkers in 15 Australian furniture factories was undertaken. There was significant variation in the individual dust measurements with mean exposures of 3.2, 5.2, and 3.5 mg/

URINARY 3-HYDROXYBENZO[A]PYRENE AS A BIOMARKER OF EXPOSURE TO POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS: AN APPROACH FOR DETERMINING A BIOLOGICAL LIMIT VALUE

, 2004
Atmospheric and biological monitoring was carried out on 38 people exposed to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in different workplaces. The relationship between the atmospheric BaP and the 3-OHBaP urinary concentration peaks was determined.

[Biological limit value for occupational exposure to N, N-dimethylacetamide].

Zhonghua lao dong wei sheng zhi ye bing za zhi = Zhonghua laodong weisheng zhiyebing zazhi = Chinese journal of industrial hygiene and occupational diseases, 2012
To establish Biological Limit Value (BLV) for N, N-dimethylacetamide (DMAC).201 workers in 3 spandex factories exposed to DMAC were recruited. Air samples were collected using personal air samplers, and urine samples from each works were collected at the end of shift at end of workweek.

Threshold limit values, permissible exposure limits, and feasibility: The bases for exposure limits in the United States

American Journal of Industrial Medicine, 1993
AbstractThe development of exposure limits in the United States has always relied heavily upon the threshold limit values (TLVs) developed by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH). In fact, the TLVs were adopted as official exposure limits by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in 1972 and 1989 ...

The Strain Index (SI) and Threshold Limit Value (TLV) for Hand Activity Level (HAL): risk of carpal tunnelsyndrome (CTS) in a prospective cohort

Ergonomics, 2012
A cohort of 536 workers was enrolled from 10 diverse manufacturing facilities and was followed monthly for six years. Job physical exposures were individually measured.

Fluorouracil. Documentation of proposed values of occupational exposure limits (OELs)

Podstawy i Metody Oceny Środowiska Pracy, 2019
Fluorouracil is a cytostatic drug used mainly in the treatment of gastrointestinal and skin cancers. It is usually used in a solution, in the form of an intravenous infusion or topically in a cream. The total daily dose of intravenous infusion is usually 12 ÷ 15 mg/kg bw./day, and a maintenance dose of 5 ÷ 10 mg/kg bw.
