Maximising Refractive Outcomes with an Extended Depth of Focus IOL [PDF]
Objective:To assess the impact of the magnitude of preoperative and postoperative corneal astigmatism on refractive outcomes in patients undergoing cataract surgery or lens exchange with an extended depth of focus intraocular lens. To compare visual outcomes of steep and temporal on-axis corneal incisions.Setting:Department of Ophthalmology, Blackrock ...

Extended depth of focus intraocular lens Chromatic performance
We describe a first-and-second-diffractive-order intraocular lens ((1st,2nd)DIOL) within the class of hybrid refractive-diffractive designs for intraocular lenses (IOLs) and analyse its properties of focus extension and compensation of longitudinal chromatic aberration (LCA), particularly for lenses with low addition. Power, energy efficiency and their

Best focus shift mitigation for extending the depth of focus
The low-k1 domain of immersion lithography tends to result in much smaller depths of focus (DoF) compared to prior technology nodes. For 28 nm technology and beyond it is a challenge since (metal) layers have to deal with a wide range of structures. Beside the high variety of features, the reticle induced (mask 3D) effects became non-negligible.

Fourier series diffractive lens with extended depth of focus [PDF]
Angular diffractive lenses have been proven to achieve a narrow beam waist with a long depth of focus. We generalize these type of lenses by defining the angular distribution of the focal length as a Fourier series.
