Route to supersolidity for the extended Bose-Hubbard model
We use the Gutzwiller ansatz and analyze the phase diagram of the extended Bose-Hubbard Hamiltonian with on-site (U) and nearest-neighbor (V) repulsions. For $d$-dimensional hypercubic lattices, when 2dV < U, it is well-known that the ground state alternates between the charge-density-wave (CDW) and Mott insulators, and the supersolid (SS) phase ...

We examine the phase diagram of the extended Hubbard model on a square lattice, for both attractive and repulsive nearest-neighbor interactions, using CDMFT+HFD, a combination of Cluster Dynamical Mean Field theory (CDMFT) and a Hartree-Fock mean-field ...

Coulomb localization in orbital degenerate, doped Mott insulators
We study electron localization in a three-band extended Hubbard model describing the t2g electrons of doped vanadium perovskites such as La1−xCaxVO3, where Ca defects are represented by Coulomb potentials.

Extended Hubbard models, eta-pairing and supersymmetry
Exact results on extended Hubbard models are discussed. It is shown that condensation of local electron pairs at zero momentum constitutes a mechanism for superconductivity in a supersymmetric extended Hubbard model in any number of dimensions. The exact solution in one dimension is presented.

Ordering of Energy Levels for Extended SU(N) Hubbard Chain
The Lieb-Mattis theorem on the antiferromagnetic ordering of energy levels is generalized to SU(N) extended Hubbard model with Heisenberg exchange and pair-hopping terms.

We analyse the ground-state quantum phase diagram of hardcore Bosons interacting with repulsive dipolar potentials. The bosons dynamics is described by the extended-Bose-Hubbard Hamiltonian on a two-dimensional lattice.

Realization of a Rydberg-dressed extended Bose-Hubbard model
The competition of different length scales in quantum many-body systems leads to phenomena such as correlated dynamics and nonlocal order. To investigate such effects in an itinerant lattice-based quantum simulator, it has been proposed to introduce tunable extended-range interactions using off-resonant optical coupling to Rydberg states, known as ...

Long-Range Effects in Topologically Defective Arm-Chair Graphene Nanoribbons
The electronic structure of 7/9-AGNR superlattices with up to eight unit cells has been studied by means of state-of-the-art Density Functional Theory (DFT) and also by two model Hamiltonians, the first one including only local interactions (Hubbard ...
