Integrated Network Analysis Suggests an miR‐21/MMP/VEGF‐Associated Regulatory Axis in Gastric Cancer
ABSTRACT Background, Aims Gastric cancer (GC) pathogenesis involves complex molecular interactions that remain incompletely understood at a biological systems level. While microRNA‐21 (miR‐21), matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) have been individually implicated in GC, their integrated role as a coordinated ...

CCR1 expression is significantly elevated in adipose tissue of obese individuals. Systemic and adipocyte‐specific Ccr1 deletion promotes fat browning via cAMP/PKA/CREB activation and M2 macrophage polarisation, protecting against obesity. Pharmacological blockade of CCR1 suppresses obesity progression, highlighting its potential as a novel target for ...

Integrated multi‐omics reveals that pomegranate ripening between 90 and 130 days drives optimal sugar‐acid balance and pigmentation via coordinated regulation of phenylpropanoid, flavonoid, and carbohydrate metabolism pathways. ABSTRACT Pomegranate fruit development involves coordinated physiological, metabolic, and proteomic changes shaping coloration

Rab8a‐dependent tethering of lipid droplets to mitochondria sustains fatty acid oxidation and cardiomyocyte metabolic flexibility under normoxia. During hypoxia/reoxygenation, Rab8a loss and PLIN5‐associated lipophagy uncouple lipid breakdown from mitochondrial utilization, driving lipotoxicity and cell death.

This study provides comprehensive insights into the epigenetic impacts of dietary interventions, specifically contrasting the effects of a vegan diet (VD) with a meat‐rich diet (MR) on DNAm profiles and their potential health implications. Dietary habits can significantly reshape the epigenomic landscape within 1 month, with the VD exerting a more ...

Proteomic Changes in Cancer Cell Lines as a Result of Bacterial Infection
ABSTRACT Bacterial infections have been implicated in shaping the tumor microenvironment (TME), but their effects on cancer cell proteomes remain unexplored. In this study, we analyzed proteomic changes in melanoma (A375) and ovarian cancer (OVCAR3) cell line models following infection with Staphylococcus aureus strain USA300 or Salmonella enterica ...

Caspase‐mediated cleavage events hidden by secondary proteolysis during apoptosis
Abstract Caspases are cysteine proteases that cleave specific proteins to control a range of cellular processes including cell death, inflammation, and differentiation. Proteomic approaches, like N‐terminomics, have been central to identifying both cleaved proteins and where they are cleaved.
