A segmented‐region optimum EPS modulation scheme based on unified parameter algorithm in DAB‐based EV charger circuit

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
Due to galvanic isolation, bidirectional power transmission and extensive voltage adjustment, dual active bridge (DAB) exerts significant interface between renewable sources and electric vehicle (EV) storage port. However, for DAB operations, under light

Robust Model Predictive Control for DAB Converters Using Extended Phase Shift Modulation With Minimum Backflow Power and ZVS Design

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper introduces a method for deriving an optimal closed-form solution for extended phase shift (EPS) control of a dual active bridge (DAB) DC-DC converter, capable of achieving both minimum backflow power (MBP) and zero-voltage switching (ZVS ...

Smaller is better: nanobodies meet NMR

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nanobodies are single‐domain antigen‐binding fragments derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies. Their small size, high stability, and exceptional specificity make nanobodies uniquely useful probes for NMR studies of protein dynamics, transient conformational states, and protein–protein interactions.

Invisible but not inaccessible—Revealing transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins with solution NMR and complementary methods

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins may be ‘invisible’ to direct detection yet remain accessible to solution NMR through equilibrium‐exchange measurements and pressure‐jump experiments. Complementary methods report on mass, stoichiometry, selected distance distributions, morphology, and internal packing.

Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?

Atoms in intense ultrashort laser pulses and the absolute phase [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Efficiency Optimization of a Series-Resonant Dual-Active-Bridge Converter with Voltage-Doubler Rectification

open access: yesEnergies
This paper investigates a dual-active-bridge (DAB) converter topology based on a voltage-doubler rectifier and series resonant network. By integrating phasor-domain analysis with time-domain modeling, a comprehensive mathematical model of the output ...

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...
