Two Measurement Set Partitioning Algorithms for the Extended Target Probability Hypothesis Density Filter

open access: yesSensors, 2019
The extended target probability hypothesis density (ET-PHD) filter cannot work well if the density of measurements varies from target to target, which is based on the measurement set partitioning algorithms employing the Mahalanobis distance between ...

Group object structure and state estimation with evolving networks and Monte Carlo methods. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper proposes a technique for motion estimation of groups of targets based on evolving graph networks. The main novelty over alternative group tracking techniques stems from learning the network structure for the groups.

New prediction for extended targets with random matrices

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2014
This paper presents a new prediction update for extended targets whose extensions are modeled as random matrices. The prediction is based on several minimizations of the Kullback-Leibler divergence (KL-div) and allows for a kinematic state dependent transformation of the target extension.

Adaptive Measurement Partitioning Algorithm for a Gaussian Inverse Wishart PHD Filter that Tracks Closely Spaced Extended Targets [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2017
Use of the Gaussian inverse Wishart probability hypothesis density (GIW-PHD) filter has demonstrated promise as an approach to track an unknown number of extended targets.

A Cognition-Based Method to Ease the Computational Load for an Extended Kalman Filter

open access: yesSensors, 2014
The extended Kalman filter (EKF) is the nonlinear model of a Kalman filter (KF). It is a useful parameter estimation method when the observation model and/or the state transition model is not a linear function.

Carcinomas and Carcinoid Tumors of the Lungs and Bronchi in Children and Adolescents: The EXPeRT Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Primary lung carcinomas and bronchial carcinoid tumors (BC) are very rare malignancies in childhood. While typical BC and mucoepidermoid carcinomas are mostly low‐grade, localized tumors with a more favorable prognosis than in adults, necessitating avoidance of overtreatment, adenocarcinomas of the lung are often diagnosed at advanced disease ...

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...
