Code Development in Coupled PARCS/RELAP5 for Supercritical Water Reactor

open access: yesScience and Technology of Nuclear Installations, 2014
The new capability is added to the existing coupled code package PARCS/RELAP5, in order to analyze SCWR design under supercritical pressure with the separated water coolant and moderator channels. This expansion is carried out on both codes.

Goldie Rationally Extending Modules

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Science, 2023
In this work, we introduce a new generalization of both Rationally extending and Goldie extending which is Goldie Rationally extending module which is known as follows: if for any submodule K of an R-module M there is a direct summand U of M (denoted by  U⊆_⊕ M) such that K β_r  U. A β_r  is a relation of K⊆M and U⊆M, which defined as  K β_r  U if

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Extending ROOT through Modules [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
The ROOT software framework is foundational for the HEP ecosystem, providing multiple capabilities such as I/O, a C++ interpreter, GUI, and math libraries. It uses object-oriented concepts and build-time components to layer between them. We believe that a new layering formalism will benefit the ROOT user community.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

A high-efficiency regenerative shock absorber considering twin ball screws transmissions for application in range-extended electric vehicles

open access: yesEnergy and Built Environment, 2020
Renewable energy technologies, particularly in electric vehicles (EVs), have received significant attention in recent years. The wasted energy in a vehicle's shock absorber can be converted into an alternative energy source by regenerative shock ...

Generalized Polarization Modules (extended abstract) [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science, 2015
This work enrols the research line of M. Haiman on the Operator Theorem (the old operator conjecture). This theorem states that the smallest $\mathfrak{S}_n$-module closed under taking partial derivatives and closed under the action of polarization operators that contains the Vandermonde determinant is the space of diagonal harmonics polynomials.
