Extending Endo-monomial Modules
Algebra Colloquium, 2013Let G be a finite group with a normal Sylow p-subgroup P. Let [Formula: see text] be a complete discrete valuation ring with residue field F of characteristic p. Let M be an indecomposable endo-monomial [Formula: see text]-module. In this paper we prove that M extends to an [Formula: see text]-module if and only if M is G-stable.

Corrigendum To: Goldie Extending Modules
Communications in Algebra, 2010This corrigendum is written to correct an error in Corollary 2.5(ii) and an error in the proof of the converse of Theorem 2.7 of Akalan, Birkenmeier, and Tercan [1].

Modules which are Weak Extending Relative to Module Classes
Acta Mathematica Hungarica, 2000Two notions of weak extending modules with respect to a class of modules \(\mathcal X\) are introduced and related to other notions of extending relative to a module class. An \(R\)-module \(M\) is called weak type \(1\) \(\mathcal X\)-extending if for every \(\mathcal X\)-submodule \(N\) of \(M\) there exists a complement \(K\) of \(N\) in \(M\) such ...

Automorphism-extendable modules
Discrete Mathematics and Applications, 2015Abstract We study modules, in which all automorphisms of submodules may be extended to endomorphisms (automorphisms) of the whole module.

In this chapter we will be taking one of the original IBuySpy modules (the events module) and extending it by adding new functionality. We will be using the existing code as a starting point for building a module that provides the functionality that we want.

This note considers a generalization of the notion of an extending module, suggested by L. Fuchs, defined using purity. This leads to a characterization of right semihereditary rings R for which the maximal left quotient ring Q l (R) is flat as a left R-module.

In this paper, we recall the concept of strong largeness to define strongly extending modules which are particular extending modules, and investigate some properties of strongly extending modules. We supply some examples showing that extending modules need not be strongly extending.
