Leiomyosarcoma of the external iliac vein
Vascular, 2012Leiomyosarcoma of the iliac vein is an uncommon tumor. We report a case of a 63-year-old Japanese woman with leiomyosarcoma of the right external iliac vein. External iliac vein dimensions can change after placement of a more proximal iliac vein stent
Journal of Vascular Surgery: Venous and Lymphatic Disorders, 2023We have occasionally observed during vein stenting for proximal iliac vein stenosis, the appearance of a more distal stenosis in the iliac vein that had not been initially observed before placement of the more proximal vein stent. In the present retrospective study, we aimed to document this observation. We identified patients in whom changes in the ...

Calcified External Iliac Vein Thrombosis
Radiology, 1975Linear calcification in the soft tissues of the pelvis in the region of the external iliac vein should suggest the possibility of calcified external iliac vein thrombosis, particularly in patients with a suspicious clinical history or physical findings. Extremity and pelvic venography corroborate the plain film findings.

External Iliac Vein Stenosis Owing to Prolonged Cycling
Vascular, 2010Prolonged cycling has previously been associated with external iliac artery stenosis, termed “cyclists' iliac syndrome.” However, no association between external iliac vein stenoses and cycling has been previously described. We describe a unique case of a 70-year-old cyclist presenting with an iliofemoral deep venous thrombosis owing to an external ...
