ResCalib: Joint LiDAR and Camera Calibration Based on Geometrically Supervised Deep Neural Networks

open access: yesLeida xuebao
Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR) systems lack texture and color information, while cameras lack depth information. Thus, the information obtained from LiDAR and cameras is highly complementary.

Three-Point Marking Method to Overcome External Parameter Disturbance in Stereo-DIC Based on Camera Pose Self-Estimation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Stereo digital image correlation (stereo-DIC) requires the stereo-camera system to remain fixed during the measurement process. This requirement brings a lot of inconvenience to the practical application of stereo-DIC.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Development and validation of an individual-based state-transition model for the prediction of frailty and frailty-related events.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2023
Frailty is a biological syndrome that is associated with increased risks of morbidity and mortality. To assess the value of interventions to prevent or manage frailty, all important impacts on costs and outcomes should be estimated. The aim of this study

3-D Modeling of Traffic Accidents Scenes Using a UAV-Borne SSL-Camera System

open access: yesIEEE Access
To address the time-consuming investigation and inaccurate modeling problems of conventional road accident scenes, this paper proposes a remote sensing-based accident modeling method using multi-sensor data fusion.

On-Orbit Geometric Calibration Model and Its Applications for High-Resolution Optical Satellite Imagery

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2014
On-orbit geometric calibration is a key technology to guarantee the geometric quality of high-resolution optical satellite imagery. In this paper, we present an approach for the on-orbit geometric calibration of high-resolution optical satellite imagery,

Parametric uncertainty or hydrological changes? [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, 2014
The model calibration is the way of hydrologists for searching also a physical interpretation of complex interactions acting within a basin. Actually, it can be frequently noticed how model calibration performed on a given time-window may converge to a ...

Improved Tracking and Docking of Industrial Mobile Robots Through UKF Vision-Based Kinematics Calibration

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Performing an open-loop movement, or docking, for an industrial mobile robot (IMR), is a common necessary procedure when relying on environmental sensors is not possible.
