Effects of Different Factors on the Mining of Extra-Thick Coal Seam

2018
Based on the mining case of Dafosi Coal Mine in Shaanxi Province, which is a typical coal mine with extra-thick coal seam, the effects of mining width, buried depth and rock grade on the ground surface deformation and sur-rounding rock stress have been studied by numerical experiments.

Application of microseismic monitoring technology on fully mechanized top-coal caving face of extra-thick coal seam

2011 International Conference on Multimedia Technology, 2011
Microseismic monitoring technology was used on fully mechanized coal caving face of extra-thick coal seams in Tashan coal mine to study the movement law of the surrounding rock mass in order to provide a scientific basis for the coal mining design and the mining pressure control.

Study on Coal Pillar Width and Surrounding Rock Control of Gob-Side Entry in Extra-thick Coal Seam

Geotechnical and Geological Engineering, 2020
This paper adopts an integrated method of field test and numerical simulation to study coal pillar width and surrounding rock control of gob-side entry in extra-thick coal seam. Field test showed that when the coal pillar width was 30 m, the average plastic failure areas of the roof, coal pillar rib and virgin coal rib were 7.6 m, 4.9 and 3.8 m ...

Prediction of upper limit position of bedding separation overlying a coal roadway within an extra-thick coal seam

Journal of Central South University, 2018
Failure of the surrounding rock around a roadway induced by roof separation is one major type of underground roof-fall accidents. This failure can especially be commonly-seen in a bottom-driven roadway within an extra-thick coal seam (“bottom-driven roadway” is used throughout for ease of reference), containing weak partings in their roof coal seams ...
