THERMODYNAMICS AND EXTRA DIMENSIONS
Modern Physics Letters B, 2009We consider the effects of extra dimensions on the thermodynamics of classical ideal gases, Bose–Einstein gases and Fermi–Dirac gas. Assuming a q-dimensional torus for the extra dimensions, we compute the thermodynamic functions such as the equation of state, the average energy and the specific heat at constant volume for the three systems.

Singular Instantons and Extra Dimensions
International Journal of Theoretical Physics, 1999Assuming that the universe is homogeneous, isotropic, and \(\Omega\sim 1\), \textit{S. W. Hawking} and \textit{N. Turok} [Phys. Lett. B 425, 25-32 (1998); Phys. Lett. B 432, 271-278 (1998)], have recently suggested that an open universe can be created from nothing using instanton processes without the need of a false vacuum phase.

Extra Dimensions and Warped Geometries
Science, 2002The field of extra dimensions, as well as the hypothesized sizes of extra dimensions, have grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years. I summarize the new results and the reasons for the recent activity in this field. These include the observations that extra dimensions can be macroscopic or even infinite in size.
