Simulation and thermal integration SRV in extractive distillation column

open access: yes, 2015
The present work aims at studying the application of the thermal integration Secondary Reflux and Vaporization (SRV) in extractive distillation. This technique is based on heat exchange between the rectifying and stripping sections, using the natural ...

Adsorption‐Engineered Hydrocarbon Ionomers for Durable Proton‐Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrocarbon ionomers suffer from oxidation‐driven interfacial degradation in PEM fuel cell cathodes, leading to catalyst instability. Here, adsorption‐engineered poly(fluorene) ionomers decouple interfacial anchoring from oxidative degradation, enabling strong catalyst–ionomer interactions while resisting electrochemical oxidation.

ENERGY SAVING IN EXTRACTIVE DISTILLATION

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2013
The basic approaches are considered to the creation of energy efficient flowsheets for extractive distillation (ED). A brief analysis of works dedicated to the choice of effective entrainer, of optimal ED flowsheets parameters and the use of certain ...

Toward Pore‐Engineered 3D‐Printed Materials for Sorption Water Harvesting, Interfacial Evaporation, and Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Water harvesting, radiative cooling, and interfacial solar evaporation are fundamentally governed by coupled heat, mass, and light transport processes. These processes are mediated by pore architecture, including pore size, connectivity, and hierarchical organization.

Ionic Gating of Liquid‐Crystal‐Like Pteridine Assemblies Enables Tunable Light Scattering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Tunable optical properties emerge through developmentally regulated ionic gating, which transforms disordered, ultraviolet (UV)‐absorbing organelles into concentrically ordered, liquid‐crystal‐like light scatterers. By integrating analyses of pteridine composition, potassium‐dependent assembly, hierarchical ultrastructure, and optical behavior, the ...

Anhydrous Bioethanol Production Using Bioglycerol - Simulation Of Extractive Distillation Processes

open access: yes, 2015
Bioethanol has been increasingly used as fuel in the anhydrous form, mixed with gasoline. In this work, two configurations of the extractive distillation process using bioglycerol as a solvent for anhydrous bioethanol production were investigated ...

Defect‐Driven Charge Separation in Ba‐Doped SrTiO3: Correlating Photoelectrochemical Performance With Dye‐Selective Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Ba‐doped SrTiO3 perovskites establish a direct correlation between photoelectrochemical activity and photocatalytic performance. Optimized Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 exhibits enhanced charge separation, photocurrent generation, and visible‐light‐driven dye degradation through defect‐induced oxygen vacancies and lattice distortion.
