Biobutanol Production Using High Cell Density Fermentation in a Large Extractant Volume
Biobutanol is well known as a suitable substitute for gasoline, which can be applied without engine modification. Butanol toxicity to the producer strain causes difficulties to grow strain of higher than 4 g/L dry cell weight and to produce butanol ...

The Fermentation of Malt Extract by an Osmophilic Yeast [PDF]
SUMMARY: The fermentation of malt extract by the osmophilic yeast Saccharomyces rouxii Boutroux is described. It is found that the limiting factor determining whether an extract will ferment or not is its relative humidity, the critical level of which is about 73%.
