Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Evaluating the effect of γ‐oryzanol on MASLD pathology using a medaka fish model
This study explores a liver disease called MASLD, which is increasing worldwide and can lead to serious damage. Researchers used medaka fish instead of rodents to test a food compound, γ‐oryzanol. Fish fed this compound had less liver fat and healthier gut bacteria.

Solvent-based approaches to evaluate the ABE extractive fermentation [PDF]
The reindustrialization of ABE fermentation is hampered by significant production costs, linked to high product inhibition and limited intrinsic yield. The reduction of these costs depends on the effective application of integrated toxic product removal ...

Strategies for reducing solvent toxicity in extractive ethanol fermentation
Extractive fermentation is a widely preferred technique in which the products of fermentation are removed from the fermentation medium by a proper solvent, in order to avoid the inhibitory effects of the products.

A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Liquid - Liquid Extraction of 2, 3-Butanediol from Fermentation Broth [PDF]
Recovery of metabolites from fermentation broth by solvent extraction can be used to optimize fermentation processes. End-product reutilization, low product concentration, large volumes of fermentation broth and the requirements for large bioreactors, in
