Abstract Star‐forming and starburst galaxies (SBGs), which are well‐known cosmic‐ray (CR) reservoirs, are expected to emit gamma rays and neutrinos predominantly via hadronic collisions. In this work we analyze the 10‐year Fermi‐Low Energy Technique (LAT) spectral energy distributions of 13 nearby galaxies by means of a physical model that accounts for

A Wideband Polarization Observation of Hydra A with the Jansky Very Large Array
We present the results of a wideband high-resolution polarization study of Hydra A, one of the most luminous FR I radio galaxies known and among the most well studied. The radio emission from this source displays extremely large Faraday rotation measures

LRS Bianchi Type‐I String Cosmological Models in f(Q) Gravity
In the current study, we studied a f(Q)‐gravitational, anisotropic, locally rotationally symmetric (LRS), Bianchi type‐I spacetime universe. We have adopted the freely chosen function fQ=Q+αQ, where α is a model‐free parameter. We assumed that the universe is filled with dusty string fluid and that the shear scalar (σ) and the expansion scalar (θ) are ...

Soft X‐Ray Imaging of Magnetopause Reconnection Outflows Under Low Plasma‐β Solar Wind Conditions
Abstract We examined soft X‐ray emission by the solar wind charge‐exchange process around the Earth's magnetosphere using a global magnetohydrodynamic simulation model. The dayside magnetopause reconnection heats and accelerates the plasma whereby the X‐ray emission becomes as bright as ∼6 × 10−6 eV cm−3 s−1 under the southward interplanetary magnetic ...

Abstract High‐energetic charged particles, such as solar protons, and phenomena such as Forbush decreases are eligible candidates to affect the global electric circuit. These effects have been studied by analyzing disturbances of the potential gradient in ground‐based measurements in fair weather regions. In this paper, we investigate deviations in the

Probing UHECR production in Centaurus A using secondary neutrinos and gamma-rays
In this paper the production of neutrinos and photons by ultra high energy cosmic rays (UHECR) interacting with the extragalactic background radiation is studied.

Inflationary and Phase-transitional Primordial Magnetic Fields in Galaxy Clusters
Primordial magnetic fields (PMFs) are possible candidates for explaining the observed magnetic fields in galaxy clusters. Two competing scenarios of primordial magnetogenesis have been discussed in the literature: inflationary and phase-transitional.

Core shifts, magnetic fields and magnetization of extragalactic jets [PDF]
We study the effect of radio-jet core shift, which is a dependence of the position of the jet radio core on the observational frequency. We derive a new method of measuring the jet magnetic field based on both the value of the shift and the observed radio flux, which complements the standard method that assumes equipartition.
