GAD65 Antibody ELISA With Extended Reportable Range: Validation and Guidance for Neurological Practice

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To (1) validate GAD65‐ELISA detection and quantification for type 1 diabetes mellitus and autoimmune neurological diagnoses, (2) correlate ELISA results (reference range < 5 IU/mL) with established radioimmunoprecipitation assay (RIA; ≤ 0.02 nmol/L), and (3) define ELISA clinical utility and pitfalls.

Sarilumab in Polyarticular‐Course Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis: Dose‐Finding and 1‐Year Analysis of a Phase 2b, Open‐Label, Multicenter Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study assessed sarilumab in treating patients with polyarticular‐course juvenile idiopathic arthritis (pcJIA). Methods This phase 2b, open‐label study (NCT02776735) consisted of three sequential parts (each with a core‐treatment and extension phase).

L’écriture de Maurice Renard, en tension entre extrapolation scientifique et figuration littéraire

open access: yesReS Futurae, 2018
Theorizing about the very genre he’s trying to promote, Maurice Renard provides the “merveilleux-scientifique” (scientific marvelous, 1909), then the “roman d’hypothèse” (hypothesis novel, 1925) with great ambitions.

Orientifold Planar Equivalence: The Quenched Meson Spectrum

open access: yes, 2010
A numerical study of Orientifold Planar Equivalence is performed in SU(N) Yang-Mills theories for N=2,3,4,6. Quenched meson masses are extracted in the antisymmetric, symmetric and adjoint representations for the pseudoscalar and vector channels.

Finite volume study of electric polarizabilities from lattice QCD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Knowledge of the electric polarizability is crucial to understanding the interactions of hadrons with electromagnetic fields. The neutron polarizability is very sensitive to the quark mass and is expected to diverge in the chiral limit.

Minimal important change and minimal clinically important difference in pain and function with exercise in hip osteoarthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective The objective of this study was to estimate the minimal important change (MIC) and minimal clinically important difference (MCID) for pain and physical function in individuals with hip osteoarthritis (OA) following a physiotherapist‐guided exercise intervention.

Relating Habitat Suitability and Survival Rates in a Phylogenetic Framework

open access: yesEcology and Evolution
Species distribution models rely on species' observed geographic distributions, which reflect only subset of the true ecological niche. This inevitably leads to discrepancies between the predictions of habitat suitability (HS) and the actual ecological ...

Time Domain Characteristic Mode Analysis for Transmission Problems

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2020
Characteristic mode analysis (CMA) is based on time-harmonic electromagnetics and applied mostly in frequency domain. In this paper, CMA is extended to time domain (TD) for transmission problems. Based on the modal self- and mutual-admittance of two-port
