The Partial Order of a Polymatroid Extreme Point
Mathematics of Operations Research, 1985Given a (polymatroid) rank function f and its corresponding polymatroid P(f), we associate with each extreme point of P(f) a certain partial order. We show that this partial order is efficiently constructible, and that it characterizes all the orderings with which the greedy algorithm can be used to generate the given extreme point.

Estimation of the extreme value and the extreme points
Annals of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics, 1987Let f be a continuous function defined on some open measurable set \(A\subset R\) and let \(X_ 1,X_ 2,..\). be an i.i.d. sequence with an absolutely continuous distribution function G and \(P(A)=1\). Assume that \(y_ 0=\min \{f(x)\), \(x\in A\}0\) for which \(a_ n^{-1}(\min \{f(X_ 1),...,f(X_ n)\}-y_ 0)\) converges weakly to a distribution of the type \

On extreme points and support points of the class S
1985Let S denote the class of normalized functions which are holomorphic and univalent in the unit disc \(\Delta =\{z\in {\mathbb{C}}: | z| >1\}\). \({\mathfrak S}(S)\) denotes the set of all support points of the class S, and E(\(\overline{co} S)\) the set of extreme points of the closed convex hull of S.
