Extreme Points and Rotundity in Musielak-Orlicz-Bochner Function Spaces Endowed with Orlicz Norm
The criteria for extreme point and rotundity of Musielak-Orlicz-Bochner function spaces equipped with Orlicz norm are given. Although criteria for extreme point of Musielak-Orlicz function spaces equipped with the Orlicz norm were known, we can easily ...

Extreme Points and the Diameter Norm
Let \(X\) be an infinite compact Hausdorff space. Let \(A \subset C(X)\) be a closed, point separating subspace containing constants \(C\) (real scalars). It is well-known that \(A\) can be identified with the space of affine continuous functions on its state space. If one equips the quotient space \(A/C\) with the norm \(\| [f]\| = \text{diam}(f(X))\),

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Ergodicity and extremality of AMS sources and channels
Asymptotically mean stationary (AMS) sources (probability measures) and channels are considered as an extension of stationary sources and channels. It is shown that each extreme point of the set of all AMS sources is ergodic, but not vice versa, and that

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Preserving Spatial Patterns in Point Data: A Generalization Approach Using Agent-Based Modeling
Visualization and interpretation of user-generated spatial content such as Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI) is challenging because it combines enormous data volume and heterogeneity with a spatial bias.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

On the extreme points of moments sets [PDF]
Necessary and sufficient conditions for a measure to be an extreme point of the set of measures (on an abstract measurable space) with prescribed generalized moments are given, as well as an application to extremal problems over such moment sets; these conditions are expressed in terms of atomic partitions of the measurable space. It is also shown that

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.
