This study develops a self‐powered permeable electronic dressing (SPED) that synergistically integrates exudate management, electrical stimulation, and on‐demand drug delivery. The dressing effectively absorbs exudate while demonstrating potent antibacterial activity and accelerated tissue regeneration in diabetic mouse models, thereby promoting ...

A soft, dual‐channel hydrogel patch enables simultaneous detection of wound temperature and strain by integrating ion‐diffusion‐mediated thermoelectric and resistive sensing. The conformal design maintains stable performance during motion, capturing subtle inflammatory and mechanical changes for continuous wound monitoring.

Screening of Lipid-Reducing Activity and Cytotoxicity of the Exometabolome from Cyanobacteria
Cyanobacteria are rich producers of secondary metabolites, excreting some of these to the culture media. However, the exometabolome of cyanobacteria has been poorly studied, and few studies have dwelled on its characterization and bioactivity assessment.

Bacterial Growth Kinetics under a Novel Flexible Methacrylate Dressing Serving as a Drug Delivery Vehicle for Antiseptics [PDF]
A flexible methacrylate powder dressing (Altrazeal®) transforms into a wound contour conforming matrix once in contact with wound exudate. We hypothesised that it may also serve as a drug delivery vehicle for antiseptics.

Hybrid Nanofibers for Multimodal Accelerated Wound Healing
Fabrication of wound healing scaffolds based on biocompatible nanofibers. Nanofibers offering high surface area, flexibility, and biocompatibility significantly improved the healing outcome in vivo. Histological, immunological, and anti‐inflammatory markers are noticeably better in treated wounds.

Skin‐Interfaced Therapeutic Patches for Wound Fluid Management and Transdermal Drug Delivery
This study presents an integrated skin‐interfaced device combining microfluidics, hydrogel film technology, flexible electronics, and iontophoresis‐based transdermal delivery of PDRN to enhance wound healing. The device effectively manages wound fluid, maintains optimal moisture, and non‐invasively delivers therapeutic drugs.

Alkaline phosphatase assessing in differentiation of exudative from transudative pleural effusion
Background and Objective: Light criteria (Protein and LDH) and cholesterol is commonly used to differentiate exudative from transudative pleural effusion. Application of both parameters is time consuming and relatively expensive.

Developing a real time sensing system to monitor bacteria in wound dressings [PDF]
Infection control is a key aspect of wound management strategies. Infection results in chemical imbalances and inflammation in the wound and may lead to prolonged healing times and degradation of the wound surface.
