ABSTRACT Hypertriglyceridemia‐induced acute pancreatitis and acute appendicitis are distinct clinical conditions rarely reported to occur concurrently. We present a case of hypertriglyceridemia‐induced pancreatitis characterized by clinical deterioration despite a decline in serum triglyceride levels.

Our case describes a rare lung co‐infection caused by Aspergillus and Mucorales in a 61‐year‐old man with uncontrolled diabetes and chronic kidney disease. The diagnosis was made by BAL PCR and biopsy. Despite antifungal treatment, the patient worsened and died.
