Galectin-3-mediated glial crosstalk drives oligodendrocyte differentiation and (Re)myelination [PDF]
Galectin-3 (Gal-3) is the only chimeric protein in the galectin family. Gal-3 structure comprises unusual tandem repeats of proline and glycine-rich short stretches bound to a carbohydrate-recognition domain (CRD).

Plasmon-Enhanced CO2 Methanation over Au@Ru/TiO2 via Nanoscale Control of Ru Shell Thickness. [PDF]
Au@Ru core–shell nanoparticles on TiO2 integrate active Ru sites with Au plasmonic excitation. At 190 °C, 545 nm light boosts CO2 methanation rates by 335% while preserving >99% CH4 selectivity. The catalyst outperforms Ru/C and remains stable for 85 h, underscoring nanoscale shell engineering for efficient light‐assisted thermocatalysis.

Modulation of plasma membrane Ca2-ATPase by neutral Phospholipids: effect of the micelle-vesicle transition and the bilayer thickness [PDF]
Background: Membrane proteins require phospholipids to be biologically active. Results: An increase of phosphatidylcholine/detergent molar ratio leads to a biphasic behavior of the PMCA Ca2-ATPase activity, whose maximum depends on phosphatidylcholine ...

Structure, kinetic characterization and subcellular localization of the two ribulose 5-phosphate epimerase isoenzymes from Trypanosoma cruzi [PDF]
The enzyme of the pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) ribulose-5-phosphate-epimerase (RPE) is encoded by two genes present in the genome of Trypanosoma cruzi CL Brener clone: TcRPE1 and TcRPE2. Despite high sequence similarity at the amino acid residue level,
