Paclitaxel induces NM2‐dependent cellular contraction through GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and RhoA/ROCK activation in cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

The unitary part of class $\mathcal {F}$ contractions

open access: yesProceedings of the Japan Academy, Series A, Mathematical Sciences, 1999
Let \(H\) be a Hilbert space and let \(F\) denote the class of bounded linear operators on \(H\) with Fuglede's property. It is proved that if \(T\) from \(F\) is a contraction then the positive square root of the strong limit of \(T^nT^{*n}\) is a projection operator from \(H\) onto the maximal reducing subspace of \(T\) where its restriction is ...

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Sensory gating and suppression of subjective peripheral sensations during voluntary muscle contraction

open access: yesBMC Neuroscience, 2020
Background During voluntary muscle contraction, sensory information induced by electrostimulation of the nerves supplying the contracting muscle is inhibited and the somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs) amplitude decreases.

Integral Type F-Contractions in Partial Metric Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2019
Partial metric spaces were introduced as a generalization of usual metric spaces where the self-distance for any point need not be equal to zero. In this work, we defined generalized integral type F-contractions and proved common fixed point theorems for four mappings satisfying this type (Branciari type) of contractions in partial metric spaces.

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Some Fixed-Point Results via Mix-Type Contractive Condition

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2021
We consider a fixed-point problem for mappings involving a rational type and almost type contraction on complete metric spaces. To do this, we are using F-contraction and H,φ-contraction. We also present an example to illustrate our result.

Exploring the influence of lactoferrin on wound healing and related signaling pathways: a systematic review

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Lactoferrin promotes wound healing by activating MAPK, PI3K/Akt, and extracellular matrix pathways, enhancing fibroblast remodeling, proliferation, and re‐epithelialization. These mechanisms highlight its therapeutic potential in inflammation control, tissue repair, and remodeling.

Iterated function system of generalized cyclic F-contractive mappings

open access: yesApplied General Topology
The aim of this paper is to study the sufficient conditions for the existence of attractor of a generalized cyclic iterated function system composed of a complete metric space and a finite collection of generalized cyclic F-contraction mappings.
