Hemoglobins A and F: Formation in Thalassemia and Other Hemolytic Anemias

Science, 1964
Rates of synthesis of hemoglobin A by erythroid cells from thalassemic subjects are markedly decreased. Formation of hemoglobin F, however, proceeds at similar rates in cells from subjects with thalassemia and other types of hemolytic anemias.

PCDD/F formation from oxy-PAH precursors in waste incinerator flyash

Chemosphere, 2011
The yield of PCDD/F in relation to the presence of oxygenated PAH in model waste incinerator flyash has been investigated in a fixed bed laboratory scale reactor. Experiments were undertaken by thermal treatment of the model flyash at 250 and 350°C under a simulated flue gas stream for 2 h.

PCDD/F Formation in an Iron/Potassium-Catalyzed Diesel Particle Filter

Environmental Science & Technology, 2013
Catalytic diesel particle filters (DPFs) have evolved to a powerful environmental technology. Several metal-based, fuel soluble catalysts, so-called fuel-borne catalysts (FBCs), were developed to catalyze soot combustion and support filter regeneration.

Flight software development for the ION-F formation flying mission

2001 IEEE Aerospace Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8542), 2002
An overview of the flight software development for the Ionospheric Observation Nanosatellite Formation (ION-F) is presented. ION-F, a constellation of three 15 kg satellites to be launched from the Space Shuttle in mid-2002, is designed as an experiment in formation flying technologies.

F-formation based navigation planner for a mobile servant robot

2017 IEEE International Conference on Multisensor Fusion and Integration for Intelligent Systems (MFI), 2017
In this paper, we propose a robotic delivery service in a situation of reception party. For the purpose, we first try to select the goal points to which the mobile servant robot should be positioned according to the social interaction of the recognized group.

PCDD/F formation during thermal desorption of p,p′-DDT contaminated soil

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2017
Thermal treatment of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) contaminated soil was shown in earlier work to generate polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDF). In this study, the PCDD/F were studied arising during the remediation of p,p'-DDT contaminated soil by thermal desorption.

A simple kinetic model of PCDD/F formation by de novo synthesis

Chemosphere, 2001
A simple fixed-bed reactor model is used to describe experimental data about the formation of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/F) from fly ash carbon. The heterogeneous oxidation of graphite-like carbon is represented by a reaction which is first order in carbon and one half order in oxygen.
