Combined Reduced-Rank Transform
We propose and justify a new approach to constructing optimal nonlinear transforms of random vectors. We show that the proposed transform improves such characteristics of {rank-reduced} transforms as compression ratio, accuracy of decompression and ...

Relational Variants of Lattice-Valued F-Transforms [PDF]
Two categories of lower and upper lattice-valued F-transforms with fuzzy relations as morphisms are introduced, as generalisations of standard categories of F-transforms with maps as morphisms. Although F-transforms are defined using special structures called spaces with fuzzy partitions, it is shown that these categories are identical to the ...

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Generating Suitable Basic Functions Used in Image Reconstruction by F-Transform
Image reconstruction technique based on F-transform uses clearly defined basic functions. These functions have strong impact on the quality of reconstruction. We can use some predefined shape and radius, but also we can create a new one from the scratch.

F-transform in View of Aggregation Functions
A relationship between the discrete F-transform and aggregation functions is analyzed. We show that the discrete F-transform (direct or inverse) can be associated with a set of linear aggregation functions that respect a fuzzy partition of a universe.

SU(4)_c x SU(2)_L x SU(2)_R model from 5D SUSY SU(4)_c x SU(4)_{L+R}
We investigate supersymmetric $SU(4)_c\times SU(4)_{L+R}$ theory in 5 dimensions whose compactification on a $S^{(1)}/Z_2$ orbifold yields N=1 supersymmetric $SU(4)_c\times SU(2)_L\times SU(2)_R$ supplemented by a $\tl{U}(1)$ gauge symmetry.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

On a new Laplace transform formula for shift properties on time scale [PDF]
We give a new formula of the Laplace transform expressed using the delta derivative for the generalized time scales. This formula F (z) T =LT{f(t)}(z)= ∫∞ 0 ze⊖(z-1)(σ(t),0)f(t)∆t combines the theory of classical Laplace and Z transforms. By choosing the

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.
