F-transforms, aggregations, partitions

2017 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ-IEEE), 2017
A relationship between real-valued and lattice-valued F-transforms and aggregation functions is analyzed. For each direct F-transform, we find an axiomatic characterization of the corresponding mapping. We show that the real-valued F-transform is a set of images of linear aggregation functions and that the lattice-valued F-transforms are images of ...

F-transform-Based Optimization for Image Restoration (Inpainting)

IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 2018
In image processing, the inpainting (image restoration) problem is often considered with respect to the interpolation. We involve into the solution of this problem the F-transform-based nonlocal operators that define a new type of functionals, extending ...

Fuzzification via F-transform [PDF]

open access: possible, 2013
In this paper we show how a fuzzification process can benefit of the F-transform and possibility distributions.

Approximation of Fuzzy Numbers by F-Transform

2012
The fuzzy transform setting (F-transform) is proposed as a tool for representation and approximation of type-1 and type-2 fuzzy numbers; the inverse F-transform on appropriate fuzzy partition of the membership interval [0,1] is used to characterize spaces of fuzzy numbers in such a way that arithmetic operations are defined and expressed in terms of ...

Time series analysis by discrete F-transform

International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 2010
The aim of this contribution is to show that the theory of F-transform can be successfully used in analysis and forecasting of time series. We propose relaxed constraints on a fuzzy partition as well as a matrix form of the F-transform for fast computation.

F-transform in image inpainting applications

2018 Joint 7th International Conference on Informatics, Electronics & Vision (ICIEV) and 2018 2nd International Conference on Imaging, Vision & Pattern Recognition (icIVPR), 2018
We propose to reconstruct a damaged image with help of a fuzzy technique, namely the F-transform. In the last ten years, the theory of F-transforms has been intensively developed in many directions. In image processing, it has successful applications in image compression and reduction, image fusion, edge detection, noise removing, etc.

F-transform versus Takagi-Sugeno models

NAFIPS 2009 - 2009 Annual Meeting of the North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society, 2009
The aim of this contribution is to provide a deeper analysis of fuzzy modeling and its contribution to general mathematics. We show how the F-transform technique can be generalized and considered as a special integral transform in a functional space with inner product.

Thermodynamical aspect of G-F transformations of actin

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Bioenergetics, 1969
Abstract 1. Thermodynamic analyses were made concerning the polymerization of G-actin to F-actin. The time courses of polymerization were very similar over a wide range of solvent conditions; polymerization curves obtained under varied conditions could be superposed by translation parallel to the logarithmic time axis. 2. The activation enthalpy for

Discrete multivariate F-transform of higher degree

2015 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ-IEEE), 2015
In this paper, we reformulate the multivariate fuzzy transform (Fm-transform) of higher degree proposed originally for an approximation of continuous functions to the discrete case. We introduce the Fm-transform components as multivariate polynomials using the matrix algebra, the inverse Fm-transform is established to obtain a continuous function.
