Improved F-transform Based Image Fusion

International Conference on Information Processing and Management of Uncertainty, 2014
The article summarizes current approaches to image fusion problem using fuzzy transformation (F-transform) with their weak points and proposes improved version of the algorithm which suppress them. The first part of this contribution brings brief theoretical introduction into problem domain.

Image reconstruction by means of F-transform

Knowledge-Based Systems, 2014
We propose a new image reconstruction technique that uses approximation properties of the fuzzy (F-)transform and its ability to remove noise. The proposed technique is based on the inverse F-transform and combines it with an original image on a non-damaged area. We present two algorithms of the F-transform based reconstruction: one-step and multi-step.

\(F\)-transforms determined by implicators

2021
This work aims to study F-transforms based on general implicators and to investigate their basic properties. Interestingly, we show that some of the properties of  F-transforms fail to hold in the case of implicators, such as S- and QL-implicators. {Further, we establish an equivalence between L-fuzzy transformation systems and F-transforms}.

The F-transform preprocessing for JPEG strong compression of high-resolution images

Information Sciences, 2020
We are focused on improving the JPEG compression algorithm in the cases where a high ratio compression is required. For this purpose, we propose a preprocessing based on the F-transform.

Towards a higher degree F-transform

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2011
The notion of fuzzy transform (\(F\)-transform for short), introduced by \textit{I. Perfilieva} [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 157, No. 8, 993--1023 (2006; Zbl 1092.41022)], explains modeling with fuzzy IF-THEN rules as a specific transformation, thus bridging fuzzy modeling and the theory of linear (particularly, integral) transformations. The \(F\)-transform of a

Edge detection using F-transform

2011 11th International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications, 2011
This contribution shows how the technique of F-transform can be used for handling the problem of edge detection. A justification of the proposed approach is given and the based on it algorithm is presented. Various examples demonstrate effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and compare it with some established techniques.

Image composition using F-transform

2014 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ-IEEE), 2014
The contribution describes newly developed technique used to improve image quality by fusion of information from the multiple images into one resulting image containing better information than each of the input ones. The presented approach is based on the F-Transform, integral transform used to detect gradients, similarity and image fusion, and noise ...

Image Inpainting with Modified F-Transform

2015
© Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015. Restoring damaged images is an important problem in image processing and has been studied for applications such as inpainting missing regions, art restoration. In this work, we consider a modified (fuzzy transform) F-transform for restoration of damages such as holes, scratches. By utilizing weights
