Substitution of Fishmeal With Soy Protein Concentrate on Growth, Organic Damage, Antioxidant, Transcriptome, and Metabolomics in Macrobrachium rosenbergii

open access: yesAquaculture Nutrition, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The present study investigated growth performance, body composition, hepatic and intestinal morphology, biochemical indices, transcriptomic responses, and metabolomic profiles in giant freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) fed six kinds of soy protein concentrate (SPC) diets over an 8‐week feeding trial.

Abutilon indicum (L.) Sweet Extracts Inhibit Key Glucose Metabolic Enzymes While Enhancing Glucose Transport in L6 Myotubes and 3T3L1 Adipocytes

open access: yesJournal of Food Biochemistry, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Background: Abutilon indicum (L.) Sweet (Malvaceae) is a traditional medicinal plant known for its antidiabetic properties in Ayurveda and other health systems. Aims: This study aims to profile metabolites in Abutilon indicum (L.) Sweet extracts (AI) and elucidate their antidiabetic mechanisms through bioinformatics and experimental methods.

A Combination of Few Physicochemical and Fungal Parameters Can Explain the Soil‐Dependent Variation in Wheat Biomass After Inoculation With Cladosporium tenuissimum

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, Volume 3, Issue 4, October 2024.
ABSTRACT Introduction Intensive agriculture causes substantial negative impacts on agroecosystems. One approach to reduce impacts while maintaining productivity is the inoculation with beneficial microbes. Inoculants can positively affect crop growth for instance through enhancing nutrient uptake or pathogen protection.

Millisecond‐scale behaviours of plankton quantified in vitro and in situ using the Event‐based Vision Sensor

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2024.
Marine particles, including plankton and particulate organic matter, are fundamental elements within marine ecosystems, and understanding their dynamics will enhance our knowledge of marine ecology. This study developed a new method to quantitatively evaluate the dynamics of marine particles using the recently developed Event‐based Vision Sensor ...

New insights into Chlorella vulgaris applications

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, Volume 121, Issue 5, Page 1486-1502, May 2024.
Abstract Environmental pollution is a big challenge that has been faced by humans in contemporary life. In this context, fossil fuel, cement production, and plastic waste pose a direct threat to the environment and biodiversity. One of the prominent solutions is the use of renewable sources, and different organisms to valorize wastes into green energy ...

Reprogramming Metabolic Flux in Escherichia Coli to Enhance Chondroitin Production

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 10, March 13, 2024.
In this study, metabolic flux is systematically reprogrammed to build an efficient microbial cell factory for chondroitin production by regulating flux size, flux direction, and flux rate using static valve, dynamic positive valve, and dynamic negative valve. It offers a new insight for synthesizing other valuable chemicals.

Characterization of Lactic Acid Bacteria Isolated From Rotting Oranges and Use of Agropastoral Processing By‐products as Carbon and Nitrogen Sources Alternative for Lactic Acid Production

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
This study investigated the ability of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolated from oranges to use fish by‐products (FB) and chicken by‐products (CB) as nitrogen sources alternative to yeast extract for lactic acid (LA) production in a papaya by‐product medium as a carbon source.
