Millisecond‐scale behaviours of plankton quantified in vitro and in situ using the Event‐based Vision Sensor

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2024.
Marine particles, including plankton and particulate organic matter, are fundamental elements within marine ecosystems, and understanding their dynamics will enhance our knowledge of marine ecology. This study developed a new method to quantitatively evaluate the dynamics of marine particles using the recently developed Event‐based Vision Sensor ...

Reprogramming Metabolic Flux in Escherichia Coli to Enhance Chondroitin Production

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 10, March 13, 2024.
In this study, metabolic flux is systematically reprogrammed to build an efficient microbial cell factory for chondroitin production by regulating flux size, flux direction, and flux rate using static valve, dynamic positive valve, and dynamic negative valve. It offers a new insight for synthesizing other valuable chemicals.

Characterization of Lactic Acid Bacteria Isolated From Rotting Oranges and Use of Agropastoral Processing By‐products as Carbon and Nitrogen Sources Alternative for Lactic Acid Production

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
This study investigated the ability of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolated from oranges to use fish by‐products (FB) and chicken by‐products (CB) as nitrogen sources alternative to yeast extract for lactic acid (LA) production in a papaya by‐product medium as a carbon source.
