Replacement of Ores Recorded by Textures and Chemical Compositions of Sphalerite: An Example From the Furutobe Kuroko Deposit, Akita, Japan

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Coupled dissolution‐reprecipitation of early formed Cd‐, Fe‐, Ag‐ and Sb‐poor sphalerite through interaction with high‐temperature and high‐sulphur fugacity Cu‐rich fluids, responsible for the formation of the yellow ores, resulted in the formation of Cd‐, Fe‐, Ag‐ and Sb‐rich, heavily chalcopyrite‐diseased sphalerite and enrichment of critical metals ...

Application of Cell‐Free DNA Barcode‐Enabled Single‐Molecule Test for Non‐Invasive Prenatal Testing of α‐Thalassemia and β‐Thalassemia

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
We evaluated the cfBEST assay for non‐invasive prenatal testing of α‐ and β‐thalassemia in 72 families. The assay correctly identified 88 of 93 fetal alleles, achieving an overall accuracy of 94.6%, a sensitivity of 94%, and a specificity of 95.35%, with 100% concordance with postnatal follow‐up.

Reaction Rate Coefficients and Adduct Formation in the Cl Atom + (E)‐CF3CF2CH=CHCF2CF3 Reaction

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Kinetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this work, rate coefficients for the Cl‐atom + (E)‐CF3CF2CH═CHCF2CF3 (HFO‐153‐10mczz, F22E) gas‐phase reaction were measured as a function of temperature and pressure, k(243–323 K, 50–300 Torr), using a pulsed laser photolysis‐resonance fluorescence (PLP‐RF) technique.

Electroconvulsive Therapy and Time to Psychiatric Readmission in Schizophrenia

open access: yesActa Psychiatrica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction There is evidence that electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) can augment the effects of antipsychotics in schizophrenia. However, there is limited evidence from Western populations on whether ECT reduces the risk of relapse compared to non‐ECT treatment in schizophrenia.

A Microglia–Astrocyte Signaling Axis Regulates Astrocyte Piezo1 Expression and Inflammatory Responses

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 9, September 2026.
Activated microglia‐derived inflammatory signals drive astrocytic Piezo1 expression in both in vitro and in vivo models. Piezo1 upregulation modulates astrocytic Ca2+ dynamics and inflammatory gene expression, thereby limiting microglial activation. ABSTRACT Structural tissue alterations in numerous brain disorders can initiate mechanosensory signaling

Psychotropic Prescribing Patterns Among Bipolar‐I Patients Prior to Established Bipolar‐I Disorder Diagnosis

open access: yesBipolar Disorders, Volume 28, Issue 5, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Bipolar I Disorder (BP‐I) is frequently misdiagnosed as Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), delaying appropriate treatment. This study aimed to examine treatment patterns among BP‐I patients misdiagnosed with MDD and assess the impact of these regimens on the time until BP‐I diagnosis.
