2009Die klinischen Kriterien der ICD-10 definieren die manische Episode (F30) durch eine gehobene oder gereizte Stimmung und eine deutliche Antriebssteigerung. Folgende Subtypen sind zu unterscheiden: Hypomanie (F30.0) Manie (F30.1) sowie Manie mit synthymen (F30.20) oder parathymen (F30.21) psychotischen Symptomen (F30.2).
