F62. Automatic detection of ON/OFF states in Parkinson disease patients using wearable inertial sensors

Clinical Neurophysiology, 2018
Introduction Reliably detecting ON/OFF states is important for monitoring PD treatment and progression. Currently, subjective patient diaries capture this information. We investigate if detection of motor signs of ON/OFF states can be achieved by using kinematic measurements from wearable sensor technology combined with a machine learning (ML ...

F62 Identification and verification of novel variables in quantitative motor tests (Q-motor) in huntington’s disease, using the track-hd data set

Clinical studies, 2018
Background Clinical rating scales in clinical trials for Huntington’s disease (HD) have shown limited sensitivity in the premanifest stage of HD and often suffer from inter- and intra-rater variability and bias. Thus, there is an unmet need for objective and reliable assessments to serve as outcome measures in clinical trials.

Characterization of a sialyltransferase-deficient mutant ofNeisseria gonorrhoeaestrain F62: instability of transposon Tn1545 Δ3 in gonococci and evidence that multiple genetic loci are essential for lipooligosaccharide sialylation

Microbial Pathogenesis, 1998
Neisseria gonorrhoeae strain JB1 was previously shown to be defective in the sialylation of lipoologosaccharide (LOS) by exogenous CMP-NANA. The LOS components synthesized by the mutant now have been shown by mass spectrometry to be similar to those in the parental strain, F62, and to include the 4.5 kDa widely conserved lacto-N-neotetraose component ...

CCWI2017: F62 'Using hydraulic models and real time monitoring to provide resilience for Birmingham'

2017
The Birmingham Resilience Project aims to deliver a new water supply for customers in Birmingham. The new water source will allow the Elan Valley Aqueduct to be shut down for extended periods so that maintenance on the 100-year-old asset can be completed. The new source will also provide backup during an emergency event.
