Surface water acidification and critical loads: exploring the F-factor [PDF]

open access: yesHydrology and Earth System Sciences, 2009
As acid deposition decreases, uncertainties in methods for calculating critical loads become more important when judgements have to be made about whether or not further emission reductions are needed.

Interactions of Group H Resistance Factors with the F Factor [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1973
The four R factors described in this paper form a single compatibility group which has been previously designated group H. Recombination was demonstrated between any pair of the plasmids TP117, 123, and 124. In contrast, TP116 did not appear to recombine with any other members of the group.

F$F$‐factors in Quasi‐random Hypergraphs [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, 2022
Given $k\ge 2$ and two $k$-graphs ($k$-uniform hypergraphs) $F$ and $H$, an $F$-factor in $H$ is a set of vertex-disjoint copies of $F$ that together covers the vertex set of $H$. Lenz and Mubayi [J. Combin. Theory Ser. B, 2016] studied the $F$-factor problem in quasi-random $k$-graphs with minimum degree $Ω(n^{k-1})$.

Strong ƒ-Star Factors of Graphs

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory, 2015
Let G be a graph and f : V (G) → {2, 3, . . .}. A spanning subgraph F is called strong f-star of G if each component of F is a star whose center x satisfies degF (x) ≤ ƒ(x) and F is an induced subgraph of G.

An experimental study on hole quality and different delamination approaches in the drilling of CARALL, a new FML composite [PDF]

open access: yesFME Transactions, 2021
In this study, the hole quality was investigated in the drilling of CARALL composite. In addition, the delamination factor calculation approaches of Chen, Davim, and Machado were compared in terms of the delamination damage at the hole entrance surface ...

Neuroticism vulnerability factors of anxiety symptoms in adolescents and early adults: an analysis using the bi-factor model and multi-wave longitudinal model [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ, 2021
Background Neuroticism and stress are important vulnerability factors in the development and outcome of anxiety symptoms. However, as neuroticism is a heterogeneity trait, it is still unclear how different neuroticism factors contribute to anxiety ...

Comparisons of F Factors and R Factors: Existence of Independent Regulation Groups in F Factors [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1970
The similarity of sex pili mediated by F factors and R(fi + ) factors and the ability of R(fi + ) factors to control by repression the functioning of pilus genes encoded by the F factor suggested that F factors and R(fi + ) factors are closely related.

An existence theorem on fractional ID-(g, f)-factor-critical covered graphs

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2021
A fractional (g, f)-factor of a graph G is a function h that assigns to each edge of G a number in [0,1] so that, for each vertex x of G we admit where A graph G is called a fractional (g, f)-covered graph if for any G admits a fractional (g, f)-factor h
