Spherically symmetric solution of f(R,G) gravity at low energy

open access: yes, 2015
The weak-field and slow-motion limit of f(R,G) gravity is developed up to (v/c)(4) order in a spherically symmetric background. Considering the Taylor expansion of a general function f around vanishing values of R and G, we present general vacuum ...

Interacting Parallel Fluidic Hysterons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The parallel coupling of fluidic hysterons is introduced, establishing advanced functionalities in inflatable soft systems. A pressure–volume framework reveals how preset volumes Δv∗${\Delta }v^*$ tune nonlinear interactions between hysterons and actuation sequences without changing architecture. Experiments validate the predictions, opening new routes

Dirac–Bergmann analysis and degrees of freedom of coincident f(Q)-gravity

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We investigate the propagating degrees of freedom of f(Q)-gravity in a 4-dimensional space-time under the imposition of the coincident gauge by performing the Dirac–Bergmann analysis.

Physics‐Informed Neural Network‐Enabled Forward Prediction and Inverse Design of Ring Origami

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a KRT‐PINN framework that integrates Kirchhoff rod theory with physics‐informed neural networks for the forward prediction and inverse design of ring origami consisting of closed‐loop rods. The framework predicts stable states of segmented rings with prescribed natural‐curvature profiles and determines the natural‐curvature profiles ...

Wearable‐Derived Diurnal Alignment Between Physical Activity and Device Temperature Predicts Future Disease and Mortality Risk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Wearable‐derived diurnal alignment between physical activity and device temperature, decomposed into 24 h coupling strength (M24), phase deviation (D24), and 12 h harmonic magnitude (M12), is examined in approximately 90,000 UK Biobank participants.

Molecular and Cellular Hallmarks of Age‐Related Vestibular Hair Cell Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study utilizes single‐cell RNA‐seq transcriptomes, advanced imaging, and electrophysiology to examine universal and cell‐type‐specific aging signatures of vestibular hair cells. The study shows that impaired hair bundle function is a key driver of age‐related vestibular dysfunction.

Freestanding Bamboo‐Like Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon Nanofibers/PANI Dual‐Conductive Cathodes via Interfacial Engineering for High‐Performance Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bamboo‐like nitrogen‐doped carbon fibers (BNCFs) were synthesized via a vapor‐liquid‐solid catalytic growth method and further integrated with polyaniline to fabricate a freestanding BNCFs/S/PANI cathode. The PANI coating and BNCFs framework synergistically establish an interconnected conductive network with abundant nitrogen‐active sites, thereby ...

Extension of the Schwarzschild black hole solution in f(R) gravitational theory and its physical properties

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
The successes of f(R) gravitational theory as a logical extension of Einstein’s theory of general relativity (GR) encourage us to delve deep into this theory and continue our study to attempt to derive an extension of the Schwarzschild black hole (BH ...

Energy conditions in the $f(R,L,T)$ theory of gravity

open access: yes
We construct the energy conditions for the recently proposed $f(R,L,T)$ gravity theory, for which $f$ is a generic function of the Ricci scalar $R$, matter lagrangian density $L$ and trace of the energy-momentum tensor $T$. We analyse two different forms
