Complete subvarieties of moduli spaces and the Prym map
We prove that in characteristic p>0 the locus of stable curves of p-rank at most f is pure of codimension g-f in the moduli space of stable curves. Then we consider the Prym map and analyze it using tautological classes. We study the locus of curves with

Abstract Recently developed secondary nanobodies or single‐domain antibodies present a powerful tool for immunodetection. Unlike traditional antibodies, their monovalence enables pre‐association with primary antibodies prior to sample staining, presenting a straightforward affinity‐based antibody labelling solution.

A new approach to pointwise heat kernel upper bounds on doubling metric measure spaces [PDF]
On doubling metric measure spaces endowed with a strongly local regular Dirichlet form, we show some characterisations of pointwise upper bounds of the heat kernel in terms of global scale-invariant inequalities that correspond respectively to the Nash ...

ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are potential disease biomarkers released by cells into body fluids. Flow cytometers measure EV concentrations within their size detection range. These size ranges can be quantified by relating the arbitrary units of measured light scattering signals to the optical diameter of EVs with Mie theory.

Pólya's conjecture for Dirichlet eigenvalues of annuli
Abstract We prove Pólya's conjecture for the eigenvalues of the Dirichlet Laplacian on annular domains. Our approach builds upon and extends the methods we previously developed for disks and balls. It combines variational bounds, estimates of Bessel phase functions, refined lattice point counting techniques and a rigorous computer‐assisted analysis. As

Non-unitary quantum many-body dynamics using the Faber polynomial method
Efficient numerical methods are still lacking to probe the unconventional dynamics of quantum many-body systems under non-unitary evolution. In this work, we use Faber polynomials to numerically simulate both the dynamics of non-Hermitian systems and the

Cholesteryl Fatty Acid Esters and Free Cholesterol in Food of Animal Origin
Cholesterol occurs in free (bioavailable) and esterified (transport/storage) forms. Here, we present a method that allows both forms to be determined independently. Finally, the quantities of free and esterified cholesterol were determined in several meat, animal fat, and cheese samples.

SERSµDrop: A Platform to Study Cell–Cell Communication via SERS Imaging
SERSµDrop is a microdroplet‐based optofluidic platform that enables real‐time, multiplexed surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) imaging of small extracellular vesicle‐mediated communication between individual breast cancer and stromal cells. By combining extracellular vesicles labeled with SERS tags, microdroplet confinement, and multivariate ...
