A gain enhancement method is presented for a circularly polarised (CP) wideband Fabry–Perot resonator antenna (FPRA). The proposed antenna structure consists of a multilayer configuration of closely spaced truncated dielectric plates (TDPs) and a ...

Linear and Third‐Order Nonlinear Optical Response of Hafnium Disulfide
This study characterizes the linear and nonlinear optical response of HfS2 thin films. Ellipsometry identifies a high in‐plane refractive index (n>${\rm n}>$3) and wide transparency window. Third harmonic generation (THG) reveals a massive third‐order nonlinear susceptibility exceeding silicon and gallium phosphide.

This work demonstrates a reconfigurable near‐perfect absorber based on a Metal– Sb2S3–Metal trilayer structure for applications across the visible and near‐infrared spectrum. The experimentally demonstrated design combines spectral selectivity, polarization sensitivity, angle‐independence, and structural simplicity, validating Sb2S3 as a next ...

Bioinspired Air‐Gap Self‐Rolled Bragg Reflectors
This work presents a method of using dry‐etching to produce self‐rolled Bragg reflectors comprising SiO2$_2$ films with prepatterned polymer pillars. The height of these pillars determines the supported resonant modes, and this method enables the fabrication of devices with different numbers of layers within the same sample.

Intelligent Stain‐Free Histology on Structural Colorimetric Nanocavities
Chen and Gan et al. introduce a label‐free imaging platform using inexpensive Nanocavity‐on‐Silicon (NOS) slides. These slides transform subtle tissue variations into vivid structural colors, enabling high‐contrast histological imaging under a regular optical microscope. This stain‐free approach reveals morphological details comparable to traditional H&

Tunable Sound Absorption via Evanescent‐Wave Coupling in Asymmetric Bilayer Metasurfaces
Tunable sound absorption is realized through a bilayer metasurface system governed by evanescent‐wave coupling. This work demonstrates that such evanescent‐wave coupling provides a controllable scattering channel that destructively interferes with the specular reflection.
