Wavelength and Pulsewidth Tunable Flexible CsPbBr3 Perovskite Microlasers by Mechanical Stress Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 15, 10 August 2026.
Mechanically tunable all‐organic CsPbBr3 perovskite microlasers on a flexible PET substrate is demonstrated, enabling simultaneous wavelength and pulsewidth modulation of laser emission. The strain–photon synergetic coupling mechanism is revealed.

The Gamma Factory: A New Experimental Paradigm for the Post‐HL‐LHC Era

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT The Gamma Factory (GF) proposal is motivated by the recognition of a largely untapped potential of the CERN accelerator complex to enable a new research program at the intersection of particle, nuclear, atomic, fundamental, and applied physics. These fields could benefit from novel experimental tools made possible by a future GF facility.

Clinical and Biochemical Improvement After Switching From Agalsidase Alfa to Beta in a Boy With Classic Fabry Disease: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We described a 12‐year‐old boy with classic Fabry disease who was diagnosed through newborn screening. At age 6.2, he started agalsidase alfa based on evidence of subclinical organ involvement. At age 7.2, acroparesthesia subsequently developed.

Myocardial Lipid Metabolism Imbalance: The Pathological Core and Novel Diagnostic‐Therapeutic Directions of Cardiovascular Diseases

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 8, August 2026.
In cardiac cells, Plin5/AMPK regulate lipid homeostasis; excess CD36‐mediated uptake drives lipotoxicity, mitochondrial dysfunction, and CVDs (e.g., heart failure). Biomarkers (ApoB/ApoA‐1) and therapies (SGLT2 inhibitors) target this cascade. ABSTRACT Cardiac lipid metabolism is fundamental to myocardial energy homeostasis, with fatty acid oxidation ...

Repercussions of Diagnostic Delay in Rare Diseases

open access: yesJournal of Genetic Counseling, Volume 35, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Rare diseases (RDs) are often subject to diagnostic delays due to their low prevalence, clinical variability, and limited professional awareness. This scoping review aimed to map the literature on these delays, examining their clinical, emotional, and socioeconomic consequences.

Inter‐Theta‐Gram Spectroscopy: A General Super‐Spectral‐Resolution Scattering Method Demonstrated on Diamond

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, Volume 57, Issue 8, Page 1359-1366, August 2026.
Inter‐Theta‐Gram spectroscopy enables super‐spectral‐resolution Raman analysis by jointly reconstructing the excitation laser line and Raman peak during an etalon angle scan, yielding internally referenced Raman shifts. Demonstrated on lab‐grown versus natural diamond, it resolves 0.1–0.2 cm−1 Raman‐shift offsets that are invisible in conventional ...

Laser‐Based In Situ Diagnostics of Temperature and Material‐Growth Dynamics in Photothermal Laser Nanoprinting of ZnO

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, Volume 20, Issue 15, 7 August 2026.
This work elucidates the previously unknown thermal dynamics during sub‐micrometer photothermal laser printing of zinc oxide using a non‐invasive transmission‐based in situ measurement. The elevated temperatures are shown to be highly localized around the laser focal spot, reaching average temperature increases of about 113 K per mW of laser power ...

Targeting fibrosis in the treatment of lower urinary tract dysfunction

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, Volume 269, Issue 4-5, Page 493-503, August 2026.
Abstract Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a widely prevalent age‐associated disease that is the main contributor to lower urinary tract dysfunction (LUTD) in aging men. Although prostate fibrosis has been recognized as a contributor to BPH pathophysiology, there are not any clinically available therapeutics that target this aspect of disease ...

Cross Sectional Study of Prenatal Diagnosis Uptake Among Individuals With Genetic Conditions

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, Volume 46, Issue 9, Page 1374-1384, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Prenatal diagnostic genetic testing allows for early identification of significant fetal conditions and enables informed decision‐making regarding management options. The aim of this study was to assess prenatal testing practice among individuals with genetic conditions.

Recent History of Surface Ocean Acidification Extremes That Compound Marine Heatwaves

open access: yesAGU Advances, Volume 7, Issue 5, August 2026.
Abstract Compound extremes are of concern for ocean health, such as when ocean acidification extremes (OAX) and marine heatwaves (MHW) co‐occur. These compound events (OAX∩ $\,\cap \,$MHW) may amplify stress beyond the impact of each driver alone, yet their historical distribution remains poorly quantified.
